He's back

Chapter 3. The talk

I was shocked when Jughead entered the living room. I told the kids I'd be back and the told Jughead lets go outside. We walk out there and I sit on the stairs looking down. "What do you want Jughead?" He looks at me and sits on the sidewalk in front of me and says, "I'm so, so sorry I left to Toledo..and that i broke up with you. I didn't think I could do a long distance, especially with all the stuff going on on Toledo." I just looked at him, "Still, doesn't explain why you never even texted me a simple hey, or good morning." I looked down to the floor. He spoke, "Ik and I'm really sorry about that. I was going to stay up there longer but they told me I could leave. So I packed up and came back because I had to see you and talk to you." I said, "Psh yea right. You wouldn't have broke my heart and then come back FOUR years later just because you wanted to see and talk to me." I yelled the FOUR.

He said, "I know, I just had to deal with family problems. But I'm back now, and I'm staying here." I looked at him. "That's what you said last time.." he looked a little sad and said, "Hey, I mean it this time." I looked at him and he said, "I promise." I looked at his sad/guilty eyes and he looked into mine. I kissed him and he kissed back. His hands cupped my face while my arms wrapped around his neck. I pulled back and we touched foreheads and stayed there.

Then the door opened and the twins came outside and jumped on my back and Dagwood asked, "Aunt Betty, who's this." We looked at each other. We smiled and I blushed a little bit. I said, "Well Dagwood, This is Jughead. Auntie's boyfriend." He looked at me with happy eyes and a smile. Juniper takes Jug's beanie and we all laugh as Jughead chases Juniper around the yard. We all act different around children.

This was a story to also fill in the time of me trying to make a chapter of my longer book 😂 I should have a new chapter by sometime today or in the morning.
