P.O.V: Hyunjin

beep beep beep

there goes my alarm. i reach a hand over and turn it off. I had already been awake, laying in bed, staring at my clock, just waiting for it to hit seven a.m. i get up. i grab my clothes, get ready for school that day. i brush my teeth and go downstairs.

when i get into the kitchen, i look down at my feet to see my dog kkami excited to see me. there is some breakfast on the counter for me. with it is a note from my mom telling me to have a good day. at least she's trying. she can't always be here, but when she's not, she does stuff like this. its more than my dad does, so that's something.

i finish my food before grabbing my backpack and saying goodbye to kkami. i start my walk to school. we don't live too far away, so if im the only one awake, i walk. i don't mind. it's actually really nice this early in the morning. when I get to school, i see my two friends, Jeongin and Changbin.

"Hyunjin!" Jeongin yells my name as he sees me walking onto the school grounds. i speed walk over to them. "did you hear about the new student?" he smiles excitedly.

"what new student?" my brows furrow I'm confusion.

"the transfer student" Changbin says like it's obvious. "from Australia? Chan's cousin? the one im tutoring?" none of this is ringing any bells, but I pretend like it is so that he can stop trying to explain who this mystery person is.
