August fifth, seventeen-seventy five
Your point of view
"You did what?" I yelled at my father. "Look, it was the only way our country could keep peace." He told me, calmly. "Oh yeah! Because sending me off to England to marry some random king is totally going to keep war at bay!" I sarcastically yelled, gritting my teeth and balling up my fist. I stormed off into my room with the final word, I stomped down the hallway angrily, I flung the door open and when I was inside I slammed it as hard as I could. I felt tears stinging my eyes, I jumped onto my bed face first and started crying into a pillow, I felt the wet circles around my eyes. I heard a knock on the door.
I sighed and sat up, "Come in." I said weakly, my main maid opened the door. "(Your name), are you okay?" She asked sweetly. I shook my head and she closed the door and sat next to me. She hugged me and I cried into her shoulder, "My father is making me marry the king of England." I sobbed. "My husband Richard was arranged to marry me but I was lucky and he is nice, handsome, rich and a gentleman." She said in a warm, comforting voice. "I know but I'll miss my brothers and sisters and my mother and father, but especially you, Annette." I explained. (#Rannette)
"And when you bring Tom and Mary here, I'll miss all of that." I choked out. "I can always visit you, (your name)." She hugged me. "Always?" I asked. "Always." She smiled.
Time skip
I felt nervous as I stepped off the ship, my stomach felt like it was full of rocks and constantly sinking. I wasn't in France anymore. As I set my left foot down onto the ground I felt a hand gently grab my hand and kiss the top of it. "Ms. (Last name), it is a pleasure to meet you." The king told me in his British accent. "Mr. Fredrick, the pleasure is all mine." I smiled. "Please, call me George." He told me. "Now, we should head to the castle." He said, standing up tall. "You are so tall!" I giggled. "6'6", sweetie." He joked. I chuckled. He (so far) was a gentleman, America makes him sound so much worse.
I felt his arm slip around my waist, I smiled and he pulled me slightly closer, we walked up to a carriage. "I can take that." He muttered, talking about my luggage. I handed it to him and him almost being as tall as the carriage effortlessly put it up on the top. He opened the door and held it for me, I thanked him, after me he got inside. He closed the door and the man started the carriage ride. I smiled.
This may not be so bad.
