Wandering through the forest I came upon the house I once loved. The house I once lived my life without a fear in....

I stepped through a stream. It felt cool on my bare feet. Memories of a time I once laughed came flooding into my mind. A time I once felt.

The water was mesmorising. I remember staring at this stream for hours in those times. I remember looking for frogs out here early in the morning in the hopes I would be able to keep one as my pet.

I walked to the house and the memories only took over my mind even more. The ghost of my mother's voice singing to the birds. The long gone crackles of the warm fire.

The rug still lay there in the place it had always been. The place that I slept at my mother's feet as she knitted hats and sweaters so long ago.

The house was devoid of light and every step I took sent a storm of dust into the air. The kitchen supplies were rusting. I saw a pot that I had yet to finish.

The chandelier was creaking from the wind flowing in from a window left open. The curtains stained by the rain and bleached by the sun. I remembered longing to be outside on those rainy days but I couldn't afford to get sick.

I walked up the stairs. The stones still in the same places and the spiral as tall as ever. I saw the bed that me and my sisters had shared. A rocking horse sat in the corner with a few books and other toys.

I could almost hear the laughter as well stayed up telling stories and making faces. I saw the drawings we used to scribble. They were messy but held so much love.

I ran my finger across one that I had drawn of a fox. I even remembered why, but it is better left unexplained. I saw the dolls that we had crafted ourselves from mother's scrap cloth and sand filling.

I the place where our cat used to lay with us while we slept. Her favorite blanket still as hairy as it had ever been.

One last thing I had to see before I left... In the back garden there sat 4 tombstones. One belonged to a father I never knew beside the mother I loved. Two smaller ones belonged to the sisters I adored.

I fell to my knees. Tears finally streaming down my face. I saw my hand slowly fading before my eyes. And soon I was nothing more.

I never saw my grave. I buried my mother. I buried my sisters. No one remembered me. After all I had remembered I was never sent to rest in peace.

Its okay. I forgive you.
