I began my drive to Target after Carrie asked me to get her a razor. It was only 3 o' clock, so the Toronto traffic wasn't so bad. I pulled into the Target parking lot, checked to make sure I had my wallet, and went into the store. The store was practically empty, except for a few people in the Starbucks line. I found the razors, picked up a few snacks for my TV show marathon, and went over to check out.

There was only one cash register open. There were two people in line, so I thought that I had enough time to call Carrie and make sure I bought the right brand. She picked up after one ring.

"Helloooo, who is it?" she answered in a flirtier voice than usual.

"It's me, Sarah. Don't you have caller ID?"

"Dang it, thought you were Evan. And yes I do, but I answered too fast to read it. What's up?"

        "Do you like Venus razors??"

"Ya" she said and hung up the phone.

How rude! I thought to myself. I'm the one doing her the favour and she has the nerve to-

"I love Venus razors, they definitely give me the closest shave" said a manly voice.

I looked up. The other two people had finished checking out and it was just me in line. That meant the Venus comment came from the cashier, who happened to be the one I had earlier.

"I couldn't agree more" I said as I put down the items. Wow, I thought to myself, isn't he a chatty one.

"Ahh, razors this time...A bit less pointless than the pencils" he said.

I couldn't figure out if I thought his omments was charming or rude.

"Yeah you can't exactly shave your legs with pencils. Esxpecially unsharpened ones" he said as he scanned the snacks.

Definitely rude. Nothing charming about his sass...

"Yeah I know, too bad I figured it out just after I bought the pencils" I said.

"Well as long as they're still unsharpened you could always pop back here between 1 and 5 on any weekday to return them"

"Between 1 and 5? Why then? Isn't Target open from 8-11?" I asked.

"Yeah, but I only work from 1-5 on weekdays".

Is he trying to flirt with me? What in the world? Well I guess he's kinda cute. Plus if Carrie has a bad date with Evan it would be nice to have something to rub in her face...

"Well I'll definitely be back then" I said. I paid and then left, slightly giddy from that whole experience.

I remembered the keys this time, so I quickly ran into the appartment and handed Carrie her razor.

"Took you long enough. I started wondering if you were making the razors yourself! Don't you know I'm on a tight schedule! He's picking me up at 6:30!" she said, clearly stressed out.

"Uhh Carrie, I don't knowif you've noticed, but it's only 4:15. You have plenty of time. Want me to curl your hair?"

I helped her get ready for her date. I made her look as pretty as possible, curling her hair, doing her makeup, and letting her borrow an outfit that was totally fabulous, all the while thinking about what happened with Steven. I wanted to tell Carrie, but decided against it.

I started my TV show marathon after she left. I couldn't believe Evan asked her out. I decided to do a bit of Facebook stalking on his past girlfriends. Maybe gingers are his type?

After a bit of digging I realized that Evan was totally the jealous type. All of his past girlfriends had just started talking to an attractive guy when he asked them out. It makes sense, I thought. Carrie was starting to befriend her co-worker Stan when Evan asked her out.

That's it! I thought. I'll start getting close to Steven and Evan will get jealous! I guess that means I'm returning those pencils tomorrow...
