I look down at the big beautiful clouds from my window seat. With every minute, I am closer to my destination. That thought brings butterflies to my stomach. What would my new life be like? Am I cut out for the social media business? Apparently my 3 million fans think so.
My thoughts are broken by the intercom stating the we are starting our descent. I felt a small lump form in the back of my throat as I strap my seat belt.

I start heading down the escalator and as soon as the floor below is in view, I begin desperately looking for Zane. Finally after what felt like an eternity, I find my cousin's eyes, staring right at mine. Instant comfort sets in as I am no longer alone. Looking at his big goofy grin, I cant help but smirk. He's holding out his vlog camera. I reach the floor, adjust my carry on, and speed walk to him.
"MADDIKINZ!" I hear said at a volume too high for my comfort.
"Zannikinz!" I say at a much lower, more appropriate level. Zane and I exchange a comforting hug and start our way to the car. The car ride is filled with small talk.
"So, did you sleep well on the flight?" Zane sweetly asked.
"Yea! It was super nice. " I lie. What am I supposed to say? I was so nervous to come to LA that I couldn't sleep?
"So are you ready to meet everyone, babygirl?" he eagerly asked, and takes his eyes off the road for a second, anticipating the answer. "I promise most of us don't bite!" He gets out between chuckles. I laugh nervously.
"I hope they like me." I say quite matter-of-factly, gazing at the road.
He reassured me that I would have nothing to worry about. The rest of the car ride we embarrassingly sang old songs, just like we used to do in the back of my moms Toyota on the way to camp when we were younger.
Soon, we pull up to a big, beautiful house.
"I told everyone you were coming, so most of my friends are already here. This is Scotty, Toddy and Jason's place." He says, in a comforting tone. "I didn't want to overwhelm you so I told everyone to not vlog until you get a bit more comfortable."
We start our way up to the house and my butterflies seem to find their way back to me. The door opens and I realize that this is really happening.
