Kenzie's POV:
Today I am going to my best friend, Johnny's house, I haven't seen him in a long time because Hayden is really overprotective. He won't even let me hang out with Lauren without him there. Hayden is visiting family members and I'm sure he won't be back until tomorrow morning.
I get dressed, go downstairs, and eat breakfast, and head to Johnny's house. When I open the door I was expecting to see Lauren, Johnny, Mer, or Dale, but instead I saw Annie.
"Hey Annie" I put on a fake smile.
"Hey Kenzie, what are you doing here?" She said, I could tell she was getting angry and I couldn't tell why.
"I'm here to hang out with Johnny" I say, still holding my fake smile.
"Oh you mean my boyfriend?" she asked with a smirk on her face, god I hate that smirk.
"Oh since when were you two a thing?" I asked rolling my eyes.
"Since the night you broke his heart." she said with that smirk still on her face. I remember it all. The party.
-FLASHBACK-
"Hey Kenz, I'm gonna go get us some more drinks" John said as he left to the snacks table.
Suddenly I felt someone's hands around my waist.
I try to pull away from their strong grip, but I can't, they pick me up and take me upstairs.
He pushes me on the bed, I scream for help but no one listens.
(Y'all know what happens after this and I don't wanna get into details)
Suddenly, someone busts open the door, it was none other than Johnny, tears streaming down his face. "We are done Mackenzie, have fun with your boy toy."
The guy got off me, then I realized it. Carson Lueders raped me.
-END OF FLASHBACK-
I can't believe that he moved on that quick. And he still has no idea Carson raped me.
"So tell me Mackenzie, why did you cheat on him?" Annie said, laughing.
Suddenly, something came over me, I slapped Annie leaving a red mark on her cheek. I shouldn't have done that but it felt so right. Justice has been served.
She pulled my hair, then I did the same, Johnny came downstairs and broke the fight up.
"Johnny, why did you invite me here?" I said trying to hold back my tears."
"I didn't invite you here to hang out, i invited you to introduce you to my girlfriend, I thought you should know about her since we're friends." Johnny said.
"That's great, have fun with her." I said rolling my eyes.
I walked out the door, I heard Johnny calling me but I didn't bother to turn around. I don't know why it bothered me so much, Hayden is my boyfriend.
Before I got home I look at my phone, wow, it's already 7:00pm.
When I open the door, I see Hayden there, angry.
"Where the hell have you been?!?!?!" He asked me.
"The Orlando's house." I replied softly, just so Hayden could barely hear me.
"You know I don't want you going there alone. How could you do this, Mackenzie?" Hayden was screaming at this point.
"What gives you the right to control my life!" I shot back.
"I love you and don't want anything to happen to you like it did last time at the Orlando's house!" He said.
He said he loved me, but is this love?
I realize now that things are never gonna be the same between me and Johnny, we aren't bf/gf, we aren't best friends, we're just friends.
