I skipped 4 years of story?!?! Do you hate me? Yeah yeah I know you do, especially since I just reminded you of it😂 Buuuttt what if I could fill in some of the blanks for ya? I kind of did already but there are some things that you guys wanted to know, for instance:
Alex told Jess she missed her but what happened after? How did Alex and Abbie really break up? What happened between Jess and Alex before they met in the coffee shop?
You wanna know? I know you do... go ahead read the chapter.

After the Text(Alex's POV):
Why? Why did I just say that?
I groan and cover my face with my hands.
Is it true? Of course it is. I miss Jess like nothing else and I love her, I can't shake my feelings for her off. She's like the worst kind of drug and I'm addicted.
And what kind of prick tells their ex-girlfriend that they still love them while they're currently in a relationship?!
Me, I'm that prick.
I like Abbie, so much so that I'm starting to feel guilty already and I haven't really done anything.
If the love I should have for Abbie is with Jess isn't that emotionally cheating? Is emotionally cheating a thing?
Okay wait. Don't freak out self!
Abbie for one has no idea I just said that and she won't. For two it won't happen again, this is the first time Jess and I spoke since Winter Break and Abbie doesn't have to know that.
Kay. Just play everything cool. I did nothing wrong.

And I thought I could do it too.
All that convincing I tried to give to myself a few weeks ago, it was all shit.
One: Jess and I have been talking again, to the point where if it keeps up it might just be cheating. Two: I feel so guilty because Abbie has no idea about any of it.
"Alex!"
I blinked thrice and looked at Abbie across the table from me.
She smiled, looking gorgeous in her knee length, strapless, maroon dress. Her hair curled down her shoulders.
"I'm sorry what?"
A chuckle falls from her lips," I asked if you want dessert."
My brain then registers the waiter standing beside the table.
"Oh, uh, no I'm fine but you go ahead." I smile weakly.
Her eyebrows fall as her eyes flicker with suspicion," I'm good."
I nod," we'll just have the check please."
The waiter nods and disappears.
Abbie is silent as I pay and after we leave.
Running a hand through my hair I sigh," I'm sorry I just killed the mood."
"It's fine." She mumbles.
"No it's not," I stop and face her, grabbing her hands in mine," what can I do to make it better? Anything."
She looks down at our hands," you can tell me what's been keeping you so distracted the past few weeks."
"Wha- what'd you mean?"
She scoffs and drops my hands," Alex there has been something bugging you or on your mind, I've asked before and you tell me it's nothing but it is, whatever it is you can tell me."
