Emery POVAs I make my merry way towards homeroom feeling accomplished as always. I decide to take a detour, heading straight for the vending machine. It's like I hear her from a mile away, her angelic voice repeating 'Barbecue Lays Em, get your barbecue lays'. Yeah I know I'm probably losing it but whateves.
When I make it to the machine I quickly insert my money and press the holy digits D6, and down comes my chips. As the bell rings signaling the start of homeroom, I grab the bag and instantly pull it open to munch on the incredible deliciously we call Barbecue lays. The flavor causing mini explosions of goodness inside my mouth.
All of a sudden a throat is cleared beside me and I turn around to come face to face with Lincoln Academy's very own undesirable. In other words, the troublemaker, the bad boy, the one with no future, little does he know he probably has the best grades at this school.
"Carter, fancy seeing you here" I smirk to my fellow companion.
"Emery Monaco, what an unpleasant view" he smirks back. Our eyes challenging each other for god knows what, his dark orbs most likely drowing in my blue ones. "Good way to start off the beginning of the school year by being late to your first class" he begins.
"Funny, you're one to talk you're out here too" I continue "Wait were you following me, I mean I know I'm irresitable but stalking won't get you anywhere" I wink at his unamused face.
"Don't flatter yourself Monaco, if I wanted to stalk someone you'd be the last person on my list" my face falls. "Whatever" I wave my hand, "well I've wasted enough breath on you for today, au revoir" I respond and walk away, this time actually heading towards homeroom.
As I stare at top of the door, room 108 engraved in gold, I refrain from turning around and heading towards my car to get out of this foresaken school. But knowing my parents I'll most likely be grounded for a century. So I stand up straight and open the door to room 108 knowing full well Mr. Howards dissapointing face would be greeting me on the other side.
Oh would you look at that, Mr. Howards dissapointing face, lets see what type of snarky remark he'll shoot me this time. "Miss. Monaco, I'm glad you found time to grace us with your presence, now have a sit, I expect this behavior to be diminshed after today, I would hate for your parents to hear of this inconvience" Mr. Howard begins, fake sorrow laced into his knowing voice. "Of couse not Mr. H, nobody deserves to be graced by the sound of your voice" I innocently respond back. He mumbles something under his breath, my favorite teacher as always I think not.
I make my way towards the back of the class in hopes of finding any empty seat near the window but with my wonderful luck I find none and sit right next to the person who took my window seat.
I pull out my notebook and realize I have no writing utensil so I turn to new kid in hopes he has an extra one. I mean I'm not in the mood to write down anything but given the circumstances I shouldn't push Mr. H's buttons anymore than I already have.
"Hey new kid, names Emery, I was wondering if there would be any possiblity you'd have an extra pen or pencil, either works" I ask with my most appreciated voice I can muster. He turns around and hands me his pen, a smirk plastered on his face showcasing two dimples, how intriguing. "Alec, but is it really necessary to call me new kid." he replies, lifting an eyebrow. I stare at his chocolate orbs, Lani was right this guy is Hot with a capital H but his looks don't compare to my lover Chris Hemsworth. "No but do I find joy in it? Yes." I smirk back, "Thanks for the pen" I continue.
As I turn around I feel his gaze burn a hole at the side of my head but I don't let it show that it bothers me, I won't give him the satisfication, not today satan.
When the bell rings I grab my things and hand the pen back to 'Adonis' and mumble a thanks again before I scrammble out of room 108. Now it's time for AP Biology 'woo hoo' am I right ladies and gents, lets go see how to determine the genes of my baby, kidding.
Once I reach my class, I make my way to the back, and drop my things on the side of the black lab desk. I take a seat on my spinning chair and go on my phone until someone I actually care about waltzes into this class.
I spot Lani, heading into this class and my smile tenfolds, this will probably be my favorite class. Oh I spoke too soon Adonis, walks right behind Lani. Ughhh, why, why am I cursed, was I not a good person in my previous lives.
Lani spots me and waves but inside of sitting next to me she sits in front of me with Satan as her lab partner, wow, I guess one day beats 7 years of friendship. I guess we do learn something new everyday.
"Hey Em" she turns to me, Satan swiveling in his chair to acknowledge me, Lani continues "Em this is Alec, Alec this is Emery"
"Yeah I met her in homeroom this morning" he replies a smile gracing his plumped lips. Emery get it together, their not that plumped.
"Oh yay, I totally forgot Em has homeroom with Mr. Howard every year, silly me" Lani responds, twirling the ends of her hair.
As she finishes her response my favorite person plops on the seat next to me, what an interesting day, "Carter, I see you just can't get enough of me, I'm flattered" I begin.
"Relax all the other desks aren't open I'd rather sit with snotty Cindy but I'd prefer to be snot free" he replies, "cute" I state as I glance over to cindy to see her blowing her nose into probably the millionth tissue today.
"Oh Alec" Lani begins, "This here is Carter Wells, Emery's competition" she giggles.
"Please, if this was a competition, he'd actually have a chance of winning" I respond.
"Oh Monaco you do think too highly of yourself, shocker" he smirks. One day I will smack that smirk right off his face and I'll be the happiest girl in the world. Till then this scowl can permantley stain my face. Alec intervenes and says "sup man" and holds out his hand, Carter simply shakes it his face unreadable. At that both Alec and Milani turn back towards their desk and begin to talk, no doubt about what genes their kids would have.
