My Wish To You

Chapter 1

I hugged my brother tight and snuggled him as we laid in his bed. This was another night our parents got drunk and fought, not caring that we can hear them. Kai's arms wrapped around me, making me feel safe. He was like my guardian instead of a brother.
When our parents yelled at me for doing wrong or not doing a certain chore, Kai would defend me, and I did the same.

Our parents always told us we were something different. We weren't how usual kids are with their siblings. They've always argued or plain out ignore each other, but us, we attack each other with hugs.
Smiling at our memories as toddlers, I slowly drifted to sleep, as I did, I could hear music playing off of Kai's phone blocking out the arguments our parents were having.
I rested my head on his chest and he rested his head ontop of mine.
The Next Day

I woke up to Kai sitting up lazily and rubbed his eyes. I just laid back and yawned, rubbing my eyes as well. I soon sat up and walked out of the room and down to the kitchen. I made myself a bowl of cereal and took a seat at the table. Kai came down a little while after with damp hair.
"Took a shower?" I asked and looked up at him, he nodded and made himself cereal and sat down across from me.

This is how mornings go, we eat and talk a little. Really nothing much.

After breakfast, we decided to chill ln the couch. We decided to watch the movie Lion King. I laid down and rested my head on Kai's lap. He rubbed my head as the movie began.
This was a movie we watched a lot, mainly because it was the only good movie we had.

Though..
It upsets me that one day we won't be able to do this ever again..
You see..I'm ill..
I don't mean like I have a fever.
I've been diagnosed with cancer, though the doctors don't know how bad it is. They said they'd give me a week before going to the hospital. It's Wednesday today so I have till Friday..

I looked up at Kai. I didn't wish for him to know ot, but mom already told him. Kai met my eyes.
"I love you.." He mumbled

Hope you enjoyed. And also, before you start saying things like I don't know how cancer works, let me say that I had an aunt who had it. So..yea this is pretty much how it went down when she had it.
