I don't remember anything after that except blurs of pushing and another baby we were unprepared for.

I guess I fell asleep after she was born. When I woke up, it all feel like a hazy dream.

"America? How are you feeling?"

"Maxon? I just had the weirdest dream. I had just given birth to Jordan, and I was just holding him. And then, there was another baby and... well, it was just a crazy dream."

"America, that wasn't a dream. It was twins. A boy, Jordan, and a girl. I wanted to wait for you to name her." My mind was reeling. How could there be two babies?

"Can I see them? Please?"

"Of course." He walked away. When he came back, he had what looked like a plastic bassinet. Sure enough, there were two babies inside. One had a light blue knit hat, and the other had a bright pink one. They were both sleeping.

"Can I hold them?" Maxon nodded and put one in each arm. Jordan's hat slipped of his head a little, and I noticed he had red hair. Looking at the little girl, I suddenly knew the perfect name for her. "Charlie. Charlotte Amberly Schreave. And Jordan's middle name should be Shalom. So we can honor our parents."

"Charlotte Amberly Schreave and Jordan Shalom Schreave. Perfect."

Amberly was the former queen, and Maxon's mother. She died during a rebel attack before Maxon proposed. Shalom was my dad, and he died because of a problem with his heart. I missed my dad, but I loved my perfect little family.

Soon, my sisters and mom came in. "Oh, is it a boy or a girl Ames?" Of course she didn't know it was twins. I hadn't told anyone and I was only holding Charlie. Jordan was in Dr.Ashlar's office with Maxon because Dr. Ashlar was making sure he was okay.

"Well, both sort of." They gave me a funny look. "It was twins. A boy and a girl." They all looked shocked. I had to laugh because Kenna and May looked exactly like mom when they did that.

"So did you know?" Of course mom wanted to know if I had been keeping a secret from her.

"No mom. If I knew you would have known." I had no reason to keep secrets from her.

"Well, I think you have a perfect little family." Kenna had somehow gotten Jordan was holding him. "What are their names?"

"He's Jordan and she's Charlie." May was holding Charlie and looked so content.

Kenna was right. I did have a perfect family. But it wouldn't be like that without them.
