Eastend George Collinster, or "East Collins,"
was a boy much like other in Cherry Mountain High School.

He has a lot of friends, dated a few girls, but the girl he'd always had his eye on was Eagle Tadge Russel, or "Tadge Russel."

Tadge was a girl who didn't really stand out in CMHS. Of course, she'd always been bullied in elementary-middle school for her first name, that's why she went by her middle name, which wasn't any better anyway. People had kind of forgotten about her, because Tadge really didn't talk to anyone.

It was a miracle that East had the biggest crush on the most mysterious girls he'd ever known about. How did he know about her?

They live right next door to each other. They road the same bus, but it was junior year now, and East could drive, he assumed Tadge still road the bus because he'd see her walk toward the stop every morning.

Tadge had an intimidating vibe, since she looked like Winona Ryder straight out of Beetlejuice. Always wearing black. I guess that was why Tadge was a stranger to everyone, because everyone else was just more different than her.

East is a charming boy, he doesn't look at a girl and instantly think "I wanna tap." (Though his friends were kind of like that)
He saw Tadge everyday and just thought "wow." He often wonders if she even has any friends, he never wondered if she'd murdered anyone before, like other people would think.

East didn't know her name. But the mailbox outside of her house said "Russel."

Tadge never thought much of East.

Not at all in fact, East had a feeling about that. He'd want that to change. He just had a feeling deep down that she would be such a sweet girl.

Maybe one cold winter morning he'd ask the girl if she'd want a ride, rather than riding the bus.
