Universe and I were the closest friends ever. We did almost everything together. Our most precious memory was when we went for our camp and could read each other's minds. That was just mind blowing. One thing I never knew was that one day Universe would try to kill me.
She used to speak in codes and I never knew what she meant, but the fact she was my friend made me forget about how creepy she looked at me as the days went by. One day she said to me, "Imagine having a friend who is part of the Illuminati." I looked at her with a grave face and her that her jokes were getting out of hand and not even funny, at all.
A week later she became the same Universe that I became friends with, but one thing that was weird were her eyes. From a hazel brown color they became as blue as the sea. I asked her what was going on and she told me that her eyesight was getting weaker by the day and the doctor advised her to get contacts, but the only contacts available were the blue ones. For a moment there I actually believed her until I saw her eye color change right in front of my round, brown eyes. Her eyes became as black as sin and her lips became the size of a fly and all my other friends surrounded me wearing black cloaks. "FRIENDS FRIENDS FRIENDS" is what they yelled at me right before they revealed their faces and showed me their true colors. "FRIENDS FRIENDS FRIENDS" they shouted again " THEY ALWAYS DECEIVE YOU"
When I started screaming for help, Universe came up to me and said "Remember the day you got into trouble for something you did not do, well, it was all because of me, and now I have possessed all your friends to go against you. Naledi, do you know how bad your great grandfather demolished my family just because we were worshiping the Devil. I only pretended to be your friend to plot my revenge." After she said this, I wept. I thought of all the moments we spent together and thinking of the fact that she was being fake.
