The eldest child woke up in somewhere completely unfamiliar, stowed away in a corner. She noticed lots of unfamiliar figures around her. It seemed to be some sort of cell with completely inhumane conditions. She even noticed a hole in the floor for a toilet. Places like these don't really exist right? Was she hallucinating because of a concussion? She couldn't tell. There was a hushed chatter from around her, but no one dared to go above a whisper. Some people were staring at the young child, others were looking away. She saw some kids who looked just a little bit older than her, but most seemed to be adults.

The looks in her fellow captives eyes terrified her. Some were pure terror, and others were completely clouded over, like they had seen some terrible things. There were a couple of people who looked quite menacing. She kept a quick memtal note to stay far away from those people. What was she supposed to do now? Sit and observe seemed like the best option. She slowly sat up and watched as a girl who looks about her age slowly crawled over. She seemed to be more optimistic than the others, but she could easily spot a dash of pain in her eyes.

"Hi! Are you new here?" The girl asked her in a hushed voice. She seems to be a reindeer like creature. There actually seemed to be all kinds of creatures in here, the majority being some type of animal like creature, as that was the majority of people on this world. The girl herself, still dressed in a green coat, was a blue cat like creature. "Um, yes." The 10 year old replied with. "Ooh! I'll teach you about everything here! I'm Rey! What's your name?" The girl was surprised by 'Rey's' enthusiasm.

"I'm Faye." Faye wasn't quite sure what to do.  She had tried to prepare herself for every possible situation, and thought she was, but she didn't expect to be locked in a cell having small talk with a random stranger. "That's such a pretty name! How old are you? I'm 7, but that's a secret, I tell everyone I'm 10 so I don't get attacked. Most people believe me because I'm so tall for my age." Rey says, rather gleefully.

"I'm 10." Faye says as quietly as she can. Rey seemed to be getting a bit too overexcited and she didn't want her to attract unnecessary attention. "I'll tell you a bit more about myself. I have one younger sister who I love dearly called Rose. Problem is, she's only 3 and she's stuck here with me. They do all kind of experimentation with her and I hate it. I don't want her to be hurt but it's my fault that she's here." Rey stops for a moment, on the verge of tears, before recomposing herself.

"But anyway, it's fine. After all I have a plan so that we can both get out soon! You see, I'm not new here. I just got sent back after doing my bit in the war. I'm pretty weak so they decided that they'd put me to other use. Something like security inside here. In fact, I think that's what most people here are for. Hopefully we'll get to stay together for a while longer! Anyway, while out fighting and all that, I was grabbed by someone. I thought that I was gonna be killed, but whoever it was stopped at the last second and they asked how old I was. I told them I was 7 and they had this look of pity on their face."

"Instead of leaving me, they took me far away to some cover. My next thought is that I was being kidnapped to the other side, but then they talked to me about why I was here. They said they could take me in and keep me safe instead of being stuck out of here and that there were places where they kept kids safe, but I refused." Faye looked at her with a questioning face.

"You see, I can't leave. They threatened that they'd kill Rose if I tried to escape. I refuse to let Rose die. I'll suffer just so long as she can live. You didn't come here with anyone you care about right?" Rey asked. "They took my little sister with me too." Faye said. This was bad. It didn't sound like they treated 'Rose' well, so how would they treat her little sister? "Oh." Was all that Rey replied with, a look of pity and concern on her face.

"Well, don't worry, it's not all bad! You'll still get to see her, they let me see Rose, but you might not be happy with the state she's in. But they might not treat her as bad as they've treated Rose anyway. You won't really get to see her if you have to fight, but I don't think you'll get sent out. Don't take any of their threats too seriously anyway, if you let them all get to your head everything will be a lot harder. You've just got to try stay positive like me! It's the only way that I've managed to survive so long." Rey said, smiling the best smile she could fathom in such a situation. It was a wonder as to how she hadn't completely broken yet.

"Anyway, I talk far too much about myself, tell me something about you!" Rey says in her usual optimistic tone. "Uh, I have four little sisters, I'm the oldest out of them all. I have a 8 year old sister called Meowing. She's really smart for her age, just like you, and I can trust her to do anything. I also have a 5 year old sister called Mew. She's quite a bit more adventurous and I love her just as much. And then I have my two baby sisters, Nii and Nanu. Nii's two and got taken with me. She just started learning how to speak and she's getting quite good. Sometimes she can even keep up a conversation. She's also very loud and cries a lot. Nanu's a lot more quieter and is a bit sickly, but it's a relief to not listen to an extra voice screaming every day." Faye says.

"Aww, your family all sounds so lovely! I already know where Nii is, so how are the other three? Are they ok?" Rey asks. However, that just causes Faye to remember the fact that they could all very well be dead. "U-um, well, when we got found by these people, it wasn't very pretty. Nanu had just come down with something really bad, and Mew ended up biting one of the guys, and then they shot her in the arm and went off with Nii. I grabbed a knife and killed the one who had Nii but then they just took me with them too."

Faye starts to freak out. "What if Mew bled out? I don't even know if they managed to escape! They might be dead! Oh my god what am I supposed to do if they died?" Faye starts to hyperventilate. They're dead they're dead they're dead they're dead they're de- "Faye! Calm down! It's fine. I'm sure everyone's ok." Rey tries to hold Faye still as more people start to notice what's going on. Faye slowly comes back to her senses.

"It's ok, it's ok. Look, Faye, when I talked to the people I gave them the location of this place and they said that they'll storm it soon and save us. Then you can go and find all your other sisters and everything will be ok. Don't worry about anything. I'm sure we'll both be out soon with all our family and they're all alive and well and everything's ok." Rey says, finding herself trying to desperately reassure her.

"I'm sorry, I'm just so worried. There was blood everywhere and she could've quickly bled out. I've seen so many people die recently but I just couldn't bear that. I even just killed a man and I don't even care!" Faye whisper shouts. "Don't worry about it, I've killed a few people, you can't blame yourself for something you had to do." Rey whispers back in reply. After that, there was a few minutes of silence while Faye observed everything. Outside the large cell was just a wall. It was very plain and dreary. Faye found her hand holding Rey's as they sat in silence, eventually falling asleep.

When Faye had awoken there was much more chatter than before. She watched as a new person walked up from outside the cell. Faye bumps Rey with her shoulder until she awakes with a yawn. "What's going on?" Rey whispers to her, still half asleep. "I don't know." Faye replies. Suddenly, someone kicks the cell wall hard and starts shouting. "Everyone, get the hell up! Today, you'll be assigned your new roles." There was another man outside the cell with a crisp suit on, like the man on the battlefield. It looked like the men in suits were in charge of everything. Next to him were two bodyguards, keeping a sharp eye on everyone.

As the cell door opened, people started to walk out in a line. Rey, still holding Faye's hand, pulled her up and dragged her into the line with her.  They filed out of the cell and stood in a long line against the opposite wall. The suit man walked to each person, gave them a number and role and then moved onto the next in line as the last would head to join the rest of their group. Faye stood there gripping onto Rey's hand tightly. She didn't want to have to leave Rey yet, she might not be able to meet anyone else like her.

As the man came to the two of them he noticed the hand holding of the two. "Let go!" The man bellowed. They both immediately let go. Something told Faye that if they didn't listen the punishment would be terrible, and by seeing how fast Rey let go and moved away, that confirmed her thoughts. "Tch, stupid children." He then turned to stare directly at Rey, like he was trying to stare into her soul. "Number 2587, your role is security." She nodded and headed towards the group of security.  He then casts his intimidating gaze towards me. He takes a look down at his clipboard and scans through it, and lets out a long disappointed sigh. "Number 9123, your role is also security." He looks at me slightly pissed, like he wanted to see us separated. I nod and quickly run over to Rey. She smiles at me, excited, as we stand in our group, holding hands once again.

A/N: This is a mess oops, I'll try write another part later, this will probably go on for ages.
