"Oh wow Kay! Isn't this exciting?" ask my grand mother as I approached her, back from my little escapade.
"Yeah..umm, it kinda is I guess." I answer, still in a daze.
"What's wrong with you now? You seem either really lost or that boy just showed you something that turned you into a walking dummie." she seemed amused by her statement as I stuttered for words.
"N-no...he didn't show me anything...anything that important."
"You big fat liar! He kissed you didn't he?" she asked a bit more into the conversation now.
"No! I'm not saying he did." I replied a little too quickly.
"Don't you dare lie to me Kaylee. This little football star of yours, he kissed you! It's clearly all over your face." she read right through me, that grandma of mine.
"O-Okay, okay. Maybe he did kiss me. It was nothing big grandma."
She chuckled and soon replied,"Yeah, those marks on your neck say otherwise."
Oh my, did she just say "those marks on my neck"? That bastard gave me a hickey didn't he?
I blushed furiously and tried covering my neck with the scarf I had brought from home. Maybe, grandma Annie was right. Maybe he did just show me something that turned me into a dummie because I couldn't stop smiling throughout the game, and those marks on my neck made it worse. He looked so at ease playing the game, like a goal was that easy to make. Hell I would've broken my damn leg trying to get those goals, but then again, he is a professional.
The game was now over and Brazil had won 3-1. Oh poor Croatia, it must have been pure depression being beaten like that. I did enjoy myself, that's for sure, and I'm sure my grandma did too cause that's the loudest she's screamed since she'd seen Jay-z in concert a few years ago. Oh that night was filled with events, but let's not get into that now.
As grandma Annie and I walked hand in hand to the exit, a pair of masculine hands fell on my eyes restricting my sight.
"Grandma, are you seeing this? Am I being kidnapped?" I asked frantic.
"Yes dear, I'm seeing this alright."she said chuckling. What was that lady up to?
"Umm, could the anonymous please uncover my eyes. I don't think there's a law that states that it's okay to cover a stranger's eyes." I replied being a bit more bold.
"Oh angel, it's only me." that football God said uncovering my eyes. My eyes almost fell out of their poor sockets. He had gotten changed already and was now in a football sweater and jogging sweats. His hair was swooped to the right side of his face as it was wet.
"It's just you. I thought I was being kidnapped."
"No need to fear meu anjo. I'm not going to hurt you." he said now holding my left hand in his, as my right one was holding my grandmother's.
"What did you just call me?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It was nothing of an insulting nature. I called you my angel." he said now caressing my left cheek.
I blushed furiously and looked down. Oh if words could kill, I'd definitely be dead by now.
"I came over here, to ask grandma Annie a question actually."
"Oh, well go ahead dear. I'm all ears." my grand mother said now dropping my right hand, allowing Neymar to now capture it.
"I was just wondering if it would be okay if this angel came to dinner with me tonight. She deserves to be treated nicely as she looks more than precious. I promise I won't dent her or scratch her, she's too perfect for that."
Oh that warm smile of his, and those lips. I think I died and went to heaven. Please say yes grandma Annie!
"I guess that won't be a problem, but she and I don't live in this city and it's a two hour drive back home." grandma Annie said with a pained face.
"Sem problemas. Don't worry, I can ask my manager to book a hotel for you two. I'm sure he won't mind."
"Oh, that manager of yours would be way too kind to be doing something as big as this. Tell him I said thank you and boa sorte for the next game." my grandma said, this time with a genuine smile.
"That won't be a problem. I'll be sure to deliver the message, and," Neymar said turning to me before leaving,"I'll pick you up around 7:30 tonight."
After that being said, he briefly kissed my grandma's cheek and my forehead before jogging off in the direction of which he came.
"Grandma, you didn't tell me you speak Portuguese too." I said turning to my grand mother.
"There's a lot you don't know about me darling." replied grandma Annie kissing my cheek softly.
