Sun rises. Just like every fucking day. But for real, not today. Today's different and I have no idea on what's coming. Staying up late last night was not worth it. Too bad that now I would have to suffer for these swollen eyes.
I just got ready with my black shirt printed sick words on it and my american flag short.
Grabbing my red snapback and fitting it onto my head, I exit my room. The wooden staircase is cold and it's killing me. Fuck it. Fuck all this fucking steps. It must be the air conditioner.
I eventually reach downstairs and step onto the last step. Breakfast ready. All eyes are on me, all of them. I feel like I wanna kill all of them if I could. Dad, step-mom, half sister and half brother.
"Hey Ji Hyo, don't you wanna join us?" My annoying step-mom, Da Young, is telling me what I'm about to do. Of course I'm on way to the table, can't you see? Dumbest person I could tell.
I scowl at her and her two kids, Mi Cha and Joong Ki. Mi Cha, the 4 year old girl with a sense of humor is still my friend even if I scowl at her. I take a seat next to Joong Ki, avoiding any difficult conversation with dad, whose sitting on the main chair, at the end of the table.
"Da Young, next time don't fucking turn the air conditioner in the morning. I hate it." I tell her as she sits across me, Mi Cha beside her. Useless and burderning.
"Oh, I won't do that anymore. Sorry Ji Hyo." she apologizes but I don't care.
"Ji Hyo, please talk nicely to your mom and when will you call her 'mom'? It's been 5 years." dad looks at me with a straight face.
"Dong Soo," Da Young stops him before I could even react.
"Dad, listen." I stop for a second. "I won't and will never call that bitch 'mom'. I don't need a woman like her to comfort me even though I don't have one anymore." I find my self standing and walking away from the table. This happens everyday, not gonna lie.
Yes, this is what your dad wants, Ji Hyo. Fights and arguments that just won't stop. Seriously, I'm getting tired by this load of shit. Day by day, nothing changed. It's just the same shit we were talking. I'm sorry dad I can't do this.
I think it's time for me to move away.
I run upstairs and throw my opened suitcase onto the bed. Gathering all my stuff, I mean it, all of them, I squeeze them in my suitcase. Thank God it's not full. I still have to keep the other space empty for my shower kit. I pull out my phone from my pocket and begin calling Jake. Pick up Jake, come on. I need you.
"Hey." Jake's voice comforts me. Everytime we talk, I always can't get enough of his angelic voice. But he's pretty annoying.
"Jake, I need your help." I say without any hesitation.
"Sure, what is it?" He's in curiousity.
"I need an apartment. I'm gonna have to move away. Do you know where I could find one that's cheap?" I know moving away is a bit risky but listening to the same bullshit everyday could just blow away my ears.
"We're in Miami, Ji Hyo. What can't I get you. I'll search that on the internet. I'll call you when I'm done, okay?"
"Yeah, but be quick." I'm relieved he didn't ask why I'm moving away.
"Bye.." I end the call too quick I didn't hear half of the other sentence he said. Oh well, what can I do?
