Chapter 3: Suspicions

The hyungs of BTS aren't stupid. They know the ships floating around in their fandom, but they just choose to ignore it. Except VKook and JiKook. To Seokjin, Yoongi, Hoseok, and Namjoon, it was fairly obvious that Taehyung has had a crush on Jungkook since forever. Hell, they even confronted him and he didn't deny anything. They were sure that someday, Taehyung would confess and him and Jungkook would get together. Though, it never happened.

Recently, they've noticed that Jimin was oddly close to Jungkook, not that he wasn't before, but nowadays he's more affectionate. This kind of startled all of them considering how out of place Taehyung looked whenever the JiKook pair hung out. It was quite sad how upset Taehyung got when Jungkook and Jimin went to Japan with together, but that story's for a different time.

Namjoon, the leader, wasn't going to watch Taehyung suffer without any consultation. He gathered Seokjin, Yoongi, and Hoseok into the living room and started the "meeting".

"Have you guys noticed how close Kook and Jiminie were today?"

"Yeah, they only talked to each other for the entire fan meeting." Jin added.

"Poor TaeTae, he seemed so depressed." Hoseok pouted.

"Okay, enough pouting, what should we do? Should we help?" Yoongi said.

"I'm not sure if that would be wise because we don't want to stick our noses in other people's business." Namjoon reasoned.

"But we can't just sit back and watch our 95-line fight over little Kookie."

"They're not necessarily fighting, more like subtly making moves."

"Guys-"

"Either way, Taehyung is suffering and we can't just let that happen."

"Guys, but-

"True, but we're not quite sure if Jungkookie likes Tae back."

"Guys-"

"He obviously does, dipshit. Have you seen how they look at each other?"

"But-"

"Then, how should we get them together?"

"Guys! What if Jimin likes him too!?" Seokjin intervened.

"I know that Taehyung was the only one to actually tell us but pay attention to both of my babies please! I get that you all think Jungkook likes Tae and if that's true, how would Jimin feel? They probably both think that Kookie likes the other and both are suffering! Taehyung obviously is and we can't just do something about Kook and Tae without talking to the other person in this situation!" Jin ranted.

The members fell silent.

Yoongi was the first one to speak up.

"You're right, we should've considered both of their feelings rather than just one. Damn, we... suck. I can't believe we overlooked Jimin's situation..."

"Well, now what do we do?"

Everyone turned to Namjoon, expecting him to have a solution.

"I... I actually don't know. It's confusing because we know for a fact that Tae likes Kook and we're not completely sure about Jimin. He acts like he does, but still, we hold no authority to do anything until we confront him."

"Hm, let's go talk to him then!" Hoseok piped.

"We can't just waltz up to him and ask. Remember what happened with Tae the last time we did that?"

They recalled how Taehyung ran to his room and started crying because he thought that since the hyungs noticed, Jungkook did too. They eventually got him to calm down and it ended with Taehyung ranting about how much he likes Jungkook and how it makes his heart ache.

It hurt them to see their dongsaeng in pain and to imagine the struggle Jimin's going through, hurt them even more.

"Aish, why does everyone keep falling for Kookie, goddammit." Yoongi joked.

"You act like you're innocent, hyung." Hoseok smirked.

"Okay, that was only for like 5 months! Just drop it, man!"

"Yoongi, remember the 'oh, Kookie's so hot and cute that it makes my whole body tingle!', psh, hahaha!" Namjoon added.

"Oh please, Joonie, you wet your bed while having a dream about him, okay? Now, shut up!"

"That was once and only once! Hoseok did worse! He even masturbated while watching Rainism!"

"Am I the only one who didn't think of Kook as anything other than my little brother?" Jin laughed.

"Shut up!" The others yelled in embarrassment.

The rest of the night went on with all of them making jokes about past crushes and Jin doing his windshield wiper laugh whenever Jungkook was brought up.

Jimin sat in his shared room twiddling his thumbs. The image of Taehyung carrying Jungkook as if he was his bride just irked him.

I bet I could carry him better.

Sometimes Jimin would ask himself what happened between Taehyung, Jungkook, and him. They always hung out together, never leaving anyone behind. He's not exactly sure when everything changed and that stopped, but it happened. Whenever he was alone in a room with Taehyung, it was always just dry small talk. Back then, they'd laugh about the door squeaking and make weird faces, but now, it was just tense. Jimin even wished for his feelings to go away. No matter how hard he tried or how close he got, one look at Jungkook's bunny smile made his efforts go to waste.

At this point, he gave up trying to resist his feelings and decided to just full on show Kookie how much he means to him.

But Taehyung...

Jimin wasn't those guys who steal their best friend's lover because that would be rude and he would be breaking the rules of the bro-code.

The bro-code shouldn't apply here, right? It's not like Jungkookie belongs to Tae anyways. He's completely up for grabs!

Jimin smiled to himself as he continued to convince himself that he wasn't doing anything wrong. But just one other thing bothered him.

If I do get Kookie, how would Tae feel?

Taehyung and him have been best friends since high school, even before this whole k-pop thing happened. What if all of that goes to shreds because of a boy? A beautiful bunny boy, that is. Then it hit him.

Really? Taehyung and I have been fighting over Jungkook! We promised each other never to let a boy in between us! And this happens!?

Jimin then decided that ruining an amazing friendship isn't worth a stupid fight over a boy, no matter how much he liked him.

Time to talk to Taehyung.
