From Bad Day to Good News

*Corbinne's POV*

I woke up in the office of my house feeling tired and groggy. I had been up all night editing my portfolio for my boss, Marvin.

He might be my best friend, but when it comes to work, he doesn't play. So I'm glad that I'm almost done, thank God! But still I'm not done though. What time is it?

8:04 a.m. That'll give me time to finish this final touch on my photography portfolio, take a shower, and get dressed for work.

I don't go to work until 11:00 a.m. so I might even have time to get some breakfast too.

I finally finished my portfolio at around 9:00 a.m. and I am in the shower when my phone rings. It's Marvin.

I glide my finger on my phone to answer the call and put it on speaker. I was still in the shower.

"Hello?" I say loudly over the running shower.

"Girl, why do you always do that?" Marvin said slightly annoyed.

"Why do I always do what? What do I do?" I said already knowing what he was talking about.

"You know what I'm talking about. Every time I call you, you in the shower and you expect me to talk to you through a water-running shower?" He scoffed getting annoyed.

I love messing with him like that. It's funny when he gets all mad like somebody scared of him. We're best friends. He might scare the interns and other employees, but he don't scare me at all.

"Yes, yes I do expect that. What did you call me for anyway, Marvin?" I said turning off the shower, feeling so refreshed

"Well I got some good news for you. But It's so good, that I can't tell you over the phone so come to work now." He said getting excited and anxious about wanting to tell me.

"Now? But I haven't eaten yet. And you know I need food for me to have a good day." I said being serious. I had to eat before I go to work because it keeps me energized and awake for until I come home.

"Yes, now! Now, get your ass here NOW! This good news is better than food. After you get dressed, come up to my office now!" He said a little too excitedly. This man is crazy!

"Alright! Alright! Fine! I will be there in like 30 minutes. Pushy." I said slightly annoyed because I didn't get anything to eat yet.

"Yay! I'll be waitiiiiiinggggg!" He sung before hanging up the other end. This BETTER be better than food or else I'm gonna break his neck and make him buy me something to eat afterwards. 

I got dressed in my blue and white bustier crop top, blue maxi skirt, my blue thick heel high heels, some blue and white jewelry, blue MK bag, my blue G-Shock, and my blue Beats by Dre Studio Headphones around my neck, got my portfolio, phone, and keys and headed out the door and in to my car. 

I got out of my car. And got in the elevator and just as my day started to get worse I see my worst enemy and nightmare. Dorthy Millins. And she was the hoe of our company.

She flirts with any and every cute guy in and outside this building. Talk about thirsty. She has a boyfriend and he doesn't see what does when she's at work. She also cheats on him and he doesn't know. But that's none of my business (Kermit voice).

I go into Marvin's office and I'm even more annoyed when I see him. I say with a bad and cranky attitude "What is this something 'so good' that I had miss breakfast?"

"Welllll........." He started.
