Chapter Two: Forever

-(Y/n)'s POV-

I can't believe Zero's back. It feels almost like this is a dream and I'm going to wake up soon and I'm going to go back to the normal everyday routine.

Wake up. Go to class. Wait for Zero. Go to sleep.

Today, Zero and I are going to spend the day with each other. We got permission from Headmaster Cross to leave the academy grounds for the day. But before all that, I need to actually get out of bed.

I push back my (f/c) sheets and go to my dresser and pulling out the drawer, grabbing out a pair of black, ripped skinny jeans and a (2/f/c) cotton shirt.

Then, I head to the bathroom to take a shower, grabbing out my favorite (f/c) towel from the cabinet. Reasoning behind it being my favorite towel: It's extremely soft.

I strip of my clothes and get into the shower, the warm water instantly relaxing my muscles. I push my now wet hair back and grab the bottle of shampoo, pop it open, and pour some into my hand. After putting the bottle back, I begin to lather it into my hair.

I take my time in the shower, knowing that I don't have to leave for another two hours. Also because the water is free, but that's another topic.

I then condition my hair and wash my body with (Favorite scent) body wash. After I rinse off, I step out of the shower and quickly grab my towel and wrap up in it in an attempt to stay warm.

I hate getting out of the shower and getting cold. I wish that the warmth would stay.

While drying off, I hear something knock over in my bedroom, but I just shrug it off as nothing.

Once I was finally dry, I slip into my clothes and begin to brush my (hair length and color) hair.

It's currently eleven-thirty and I'm standing by the gate waiting for Zero.

The wind has died down since yesterday, but its still pretty cold. Each time I exhale a white cloud forms.

I look at the trees, enjoying the colorful leaves of fall. "(Y/n)."

I quickly turn my head in the direction to see Zero standing infront of me. I stand there, just looking at him. "You going to stare at me all day, or are you ready to go?" Zero laughs.

"O-Oh! I'm ready to go!" I rap.

He laughs once more before taking my arm and leading me out the gate. I follow, covering my blushing face with my (2/f/c) scarf.

Our first stop ends up being the ice cream parlor. I don't care how cold it is, ice cream is for all weather.

As we enter, the little bell on the door rings, announcing our entrance. Once we're both in, I run up to the counter, Zero taking his time in following behind. "Hello Ms. how may I help you?" Asks the lady behind the counter.

"Hello, may I please get a (favorite flavor) ice cream in a bowl?"

She immediately gets to work, scooping the ice cream out of the tub, which is placed among all the other tubs of ice cream behind the window of the counter. "Here you go Ms. is that all?"

"Thank you," I say to the worker, taking the ice cream bowl from her.

"Zero?" I ask.

Zero steps forward and tells the worker, "Can I get vanilla ice cream in a cone, please?"

The lady does the same thing as before, almost as if she rehearsed this in a mirror multiple times. "Here you go Sir," she says, handing the ice cream to Zero.

"Will that be all?" She asks.

"Yes, thank you."

"Ok, that will be nine fifty-seven," she says.

I reach into my coat pocket to get out my wallet, but Zero is already handing money over to the lady. "Keep the change," he tells her.

"Thank you, have a nice day!" She enthuses.

"You too!"

Zero and I then leave the parlor, the little door bell ringing behind us.

We end up at the park, walking along the gravel path around the fountain at the park. The fountain is still running despite the cold weather today.

I threw away my ice cream bowl a little while back, and now we're walking around hand in hand. "Zero, can we stop here for a second?"

He nods his head and stops. I smile and head over to the edge of the fountain, water slightly splashing up at me. I look in, seeing all the coins people threw in at the bottom.

I reach my hand into my pocket, grabbing out two coins from my pile of loose change that is forming. "Here," I hand one to Zero.

He takes it but looks at me confused."Make a wish."

His eyes light up as if it clicked. I turn my head away from him and hold my coin safely in my hands, close my eyes and think. Once I have my wish, I open my eyes and throw the coin into the fountain, the coin making a small splash on impact.

I smile to myself and turn to Zero, to see he's looking at me. Out of curiosity, I ask what his wish is. "I'm not telling you, because apparently if I do, my wish won't come true," he answers, "and I really want this to work."

He takes my hands in his and sucks in a breath, "I realize that I have not yet asked. So, will you, (Y/n) (L/n), be my girlfriend?"

My breath hitched and I almost let out a squeal. My first reaction is to kiss him, which I did. I reached out and grabbed a handful of his jackets fabric, and pulled him down to my face.

"Yes."

I then close the space between us, our lips crashing together. Zero instantly kisses back, and when we pull apart, we're both out of breath. "We didn't even make out and we're both out of breath?" He remarks.

I giggle this and wack his shoulder. Sadly, its about time we should start heading back, so I tell Zero this and we begin to head to the academy.

-Zero's POV-

(Y/n) kissing me shocked me at first, but it made me extremely happy, I miss her so very much. I don't know if I could've waited any longer if I didn't come back yesterday.

We arrive at the academy and I drop (Y/n) off at her dorm room, obviously kissing her before I leave.

As I head out of her dorm and to mine, I hear rustling in the trees and bushes. "Come out," I growl.

"Ooo, I'm scared," says a voice.

"Ichiru."

"Correct, Zero."

"What are you doing here again?" I grit my teeth.

"Oh, just to check in on somethings"

"You stay away from (y/n)!" I exclaim.

"You can't protect her forever you know..." he says walking away.

And you know what? I let him. I don't know why, but I was stuck in that spot, unable to move...
