When writing this chapter and imagining what everything looks like these songs gave me the vibe...and the picture too
"Man these are some surreal behind statues" I said looking at what I'm guessing was what King Atlas looked like in his late 30's, I want to touch it. As I went to touch it, it swatted my hand away, or maybe I'm going crazy with all the real fresh air out here. Let me just go and find somewhere to lay. I need sleep so I can have energy for my exploring tomorrow so after finding somewhere nice enough I sent Twila a quick text telling her I made it and was safe but might be going crazy.
I spent the night restless thinking about what happened with that statue, maybe I was honestly just going crazy and nothing happened, I was probably just extra tired from the long hike.
<the morning>
After only getting a few hours of sleep I was set out to find this statue and see if I can touch it now. After I neaten up my space, I try to find the place I saw the statue at yesterday but it wasn't there. As a matter of fact I haven't seen it or any other quite like it. I walked parts of the north wing taking pictures of different beautiful things with the camera I got as a graduation gift. Taking a water break (stay hydrated kids), I leaned against the wall and ended up falling through a passageway I didn't notice before. As I'm screaming hoping some other tourists hears and help but in the mist of falling down this long behind tunnel, I realize I can't see the sun anymore. When I hit the ground after what feels like hours of falling, I lay in pain. Imagine those cartoons when the character is falling and they hit almost every other step.
I feel like I just got the shit beat out of me, I probably fractured a bone or two. Getting up wondering if I brought some pain killers or something because fuck. Scrambling to my feet trying to find an exit because my entrance isn't an option. I'm at a 4-way stop. I decide to walk down the one that's well lit, hopefully I can find something quick because I'm scared, I get a weird feeling about this place.
I got more but I feel like death and I'm dying all at the same time. The next one will be longer I promise 🧡.... sorry for the cliffhanger
