A farmer, thats what my parents wanted me to be. And for the longest time I tried to live as they expected. But on my 20th birthday I decided to trade the endless crops and feilds for the endless horizian on the ocean. It seemed to be my passion. I've always liked the sea, the salty water and the crisp winds that blow it around really made me feel serene. I normally sail alone, which is why no one would belive me if I told them this story.

The sky was a deep shade of pink as the day drifted by and I was soaking in the color before putting down the mass and heading to bed. I was on my way to deliver a million dollar yaht for some rich prick. I had to sail it to the coast of Hawaii in the United States. I was weary because well my English is shit. However as long as I got payed I really didn't care. The trip had gone very smoothly, no damage to the yaht I was on at all. I was another twenty four days shy of my destination so there was much possibility things could go wrong. The wind picked up and I shivered, for some reason despite the clear sky and sun, it was really cold. I sighed and got up begining to put the mast down when suddenly a fish jumped on my boat. I walked closer to inspect it and what I saw nearly made me pee myself. There on the boat was a baby dolphin. She was bleeding, looked sick. I was about to simply put her back into the water... when I saw a boy?

I rubbed my tired eyes and looked again, I was right a boy with gills and a bright pink tale was looking at me from the side of my boat. He studied my features before greeting me in my native language. I was taken aback but I simply nodded and returned it.

"I need help." He said and ran his fingers through his wet hair. He moved his ear fin to shake water off and sighed. I just continued glancing at him. Not really sure what to say. "T-the dolphin. She needs fish and I can't catch any for her. I've um... Never been taught. Do you have any." He asked grabbing the small dolpin and holding it in the water as it squeaked. I gathered my thought's and nodded before going to my cooler on the side of the boat and grabbing some fish that I had caught earlier in the day. I had planned to cook it with some pasta before bed but this was a change of plans.

"Here." I said giving him three small fish. He took two and gave them gently to the dolphin before comletely submerging it into the sea and watching it slowly swim around.

"Her names Ekk." He clicked the Ks with his tounge and smiled his teeth were barely sharp but remined me of a bunny. "Sir what is your name?"

I sat on the side of the boat and continued to study the creature before giving my answer. "It's Kim Taehyung. What about yours?"

"They call me Jungkook. Where are you headed." He asked putting his finned arms on the boat and placing his head on them.

"Haiwaii." He seemed puzzled but then his eyes lit up.

"The US shore?" I nodded and he smiled. "Ekk, her parents are there. Im not sure how to get there, can I come along?"

I nodded hesitantly, before I looked at the now nearly dark sky. "I should head to bed, I was going to make some fish and pasta would you like some?" He thought and then nodded and I left to go make the dishes. When I returned he had propped himself on the side of the boat so he was sitting swishing his tail back and forth in the waves. I would be lying if I didn't notice how breathtaking this being really was. I handed him a warm plate of food and he took it eagerly smelling the dish.

"Ive never had pasta before." He said before picking one up with his fingers and eating it. I watched his eyes light up as he began to devour the food. He finished before I had even taken my second bite, I had lost my appitite upon seeing him look uncontent so I took the chopsticks in my hand and offered him my plate.

"Here, I see you liked it. Eat up im not that hungry." He gave me a weary look before smiling and taking the plate.

"Thank you." He said shyly as he ate, but slower this time. "You know I've grown up hearing that humans were cruel. They didn't like mermen or mermaids they tried to disect us. But here you are, helping me and Ekk and feeding us. What should I give to your kindness as repayment?"
