I decided to walk home and not take the bus just because I wanted to avoid the stares from everyone. Word was getting around that I was the one who broke the heartbreaker. I was getting dirty looks from girls and Tyler's friends avoided me. I noticed Axel quite obviously turn around and walk the other way as soon as he spotted me. I just want this week to be over with already, maybe then all the drama will be less.
As I walk, I stare at the ground and purposly step on the leaves that look crunchy. Hearing them crunch and break under my weight was satisfying my busy mind. Just as I'm about to shove my earphones into my ears, I hear a pair of feet walking hurredly behind me. I didn't need to turn around because I already knew who it was; the person that caused all of this mess to begin with. His name is Michael Davis and he is my ex.
Michael and I dated for a few months. He spotted me before Tyler did. He graduated last year and most of the school was glad to be rid of him. He caused havoc everywhere he went and was the definition of asshole. I just wish I had known this before he took a fancy to me but of course, I was new and only figured all of this out afterwards. He was, in many ways, like Tyler. Sweet, charming, goodlooking. But he was also vindictive, manipulative and dangerous.
He soon caught up to me and put his arm around my shoulders, "So you end it with him yet?" He asked with a sly smile on his face.
"Yes." I reply, trying to shake him off of me.
"There's my girl."
"I'm not your girl, Michael."
He walked in front of me, forcing me to stop dead in my tracks, "Oh, yes you are. That's part of the deal, remember? You go back to being my girl and that little video stays safe in my possession."
"Why are you doing this to me?"
He gave me a look that sent shivers down my spine, "You'll find out."
He grabbed my face gently and pulled me in for a kiss. His lips were soft and I didn't reject it. Even though I hated his guts, I've always loved his kisses. He broke away, gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked away, leaving me standing there, alone.
I didn't know what he was up to but I don't want that tape getting out. My situation right now will feel like a ride in a park if that got out.
I slowly walk up the steps to my house and walk in. My brother, James, was already home and playing Xbox. I plop down next to him and grab the extra controller and wait for him to finish his game so that I can join in on the next one.
"You weren't on the bus today." He said, his eyes still glued to the tv screen.
"I just wanted some time to myself." I say quietly.
"Tyler looked rough today."
"Could we maybe not talk about Tyler today?" I sigh.
"Hard not to, I see the guy every day."
James had most of his classes with Tyler. We used to joke about how weird it was that we both had siblings in each others classes.
"Please, James." I begged him.
He chuckled, "Alright, alright. I'll stay off the subject. Just don't let it hit you too hard, okay?"
"Okay."

Driving around town with my sister is hell. I'm supposed to take her shopping with the money she earned while babysitting but she can't make up her mind about what she wants.
