Richelle and Noahs friendship takes a turn when new girl Zara comes to the studio. She befriends Jacquie and they try to separate Noah and Richelle which makes Richelle suspicious. But when Noah learns a secret that could destroy TNS, it's up to him...
Noah and Richelle are together in studio one. They're just improving random tricks to the song "right here, right now". "Are you ready for a-troupe auditions?" Richelle asks. "I'm kinda nervous but I think I'm ready..." Noah answers.
Noah lifts Richelle above his head and she does a straddle. As Noah puts Richelle down a girl walks through the door. "Hi, I'm Zara," she says. "Cool. I'm Noah and this is Richelle," Noah walks up to Zara and shakes her hand. Richelle follows him a few steps behind. "So Zara are you auditioning for a-troupe?" Richelle asks. "Yeah, I am. I came by early to get some extra practice in," Zara replies. "So what styles do you do?" Richelle asks. "Umm, hip-hop is my best style," she replies. "Cool! I'll show you to studio a. Let's go, Zara," Richelle says.
A few minutes later...
Richelle's sitting on the bench in front of the lockers in the locker room. Noah then walks in and sits beside her. "So, what do you think of the new girl Zara?" Richelle asks him. "Um, she seems cool. Why?" "Because I can see there's something different about her, she doesn't seem the same as all the other new people," Richelle says. "Richelle relax. Everything will be fine, she's just a normal girl auditioning for a-troupe." "I hope you're right, Noah." Richelle gets up and walks out.
Richelle and Noah both walk into studio a to see what Zara's up to. They sit next to each other on two cubes in front of the office in studio a. Zara is warming up and stretching when another new girl Jacquie walks in. "Hey, Jacquie!" Noah says. Noah walks up to Jacquie and hugs her.
"Hi, I'm Jacquie," she says. "I'm Zara, do you dance here?" Zara asks. "No, I'm actually auditioning for a-troupe this year," Jacquie replies. "Cool!" Zara says. "How about you show me what you can do," Jacquie says. "Let's do it!" Zara replies.

The song "A Side" starts playing and Jacquie and Zara improv. Zara does an aerial, Jacquie tries to outdo her and does a roundoff back-handspring.
"How do you know Jacquie?" Richelle asks Noah. "A few months after Amanda broke up with me, I met Jacquie at a ballet workshop." Noah looks at the ground thinking about Amanda. "To be honest I think I kinda like her," He looks up at Richelle and their eyes meet, then he looks at Jacquie who's dancing with Zara.
"Are you sure you're completely over Amanda and ready for someone new?" Richelle asks. "I don't know. I really miss Amanda but she's on tour right now living her dream. I won't see her for a while." Noah looks down again. Richelle can see that talking about Amanda is making Noah uncomfortable. "Noah, it's fine we don't need to talk about Amanda. But I just wanna make sure you're okay," Richelle smiles to show she's sincere. "I'm good," Noah finally says. "But thanks for caring," He adds. Richelle smiles again.
The day of a-troupe auditions...
All the dancers walk into studio one and start warming up. Emily and Michelle then walk in. "Everyone gather around!" Emily says. Everyone walks towards them and crowds around them. "We are very excited to announce that we are now the co-studio heads of The Next Step!" Michelle announces. Everyone claps. "The auditions will begin in 10 minutes, you guys can continue to warm up now," Emily says.
