The drum-like sound of my racing heart floods my ears as I run. Adrenaline, caused by pure excitement, fills my veins. It feels amazing out here! The strong legs of my wolf push me farther and faster as I run between the trees that line the shore and cliffs of the beach.
I slide a halt as another wolf steps out in front of me. I look to him cautiously as curiosity and another unknown feeling replaces the once very powerful adrenaline.
This wolf looks like no other that I've ever seen. He stands tall and strong. His fur is white with black specks flowing throughout it, and his eyes are a bright blue that ombres into a green at the edge of his eyes.
"Soon, I will have what is mine, you'll be back by my side once again. Ma Lune," the strange wolf speaks into my head.
As soon as I'm about to ask what he means, he's gone and everything turns black.

I shoot upright in my bed, looking all around me. I've been having this dream more and more, lately. This makes the third consecutive night, which is a first after two years of having this dream every so often. I glance at the digital clock that sits on my bedside table and groan. This dream also wakes me up at five in the morning every time I have it. I get out of bed and begin to get ready for the day.
I head down the stairs and go into the kitchen, where I find my parents having a very cute moment to themselves.
They stand with his arms around her waist, and their foreheads touching as they sway gently. My mother has her hands resting on his chest, and her eyes are closed. My father whispers loving words to her and looks at her as if she is the most beautiful person in the world.
I lean against the door and watch them, wishing I could have a love like that. My dad glances over to where I stand, and smiles.
"Ah, and the beauty adorns us with her presence!!" His deep, strong voice has a sense of humor in it. All of us chuckle at his words.
"How did you sleep, sweetie?" My mother speaks as she walks over to me.
"Not that well, I had that dream again."
I feel her stiffen and glance to my dad, who shares a look of worry and...anger??"What's wrong? It's just some silly dream, I'm sure it doesn't mean anything." I look between the two of them and begin to wonder what's going through their heads.
"Oh, nothing is wrong!! I just... realized that I need to get a few things from town that I had forgotten on my last trip. Would you mind going for me?" She scribbles a list of things down quickly and hands it to me.
"Um, sure." I slowly take the list from her and head out to my 2017 Chevy Silverado.
*Did they seem a bit off to you?* I ask my wolf Juniper.
*Ha, a lot more than "a bit" of you ask me. What's up with them?*
*I don't know, but I'm going to find out.*
All of a sudden, this feeling washed over my entire body. I can't quite place it.
*What was that?* I ask her.
*I'm not sure, but I get the feeling something is going to happen soon. Something very familiar.*
*Today is going to be a very weird day,* we say in unison.
