The Chakra Princess [2.0]

[6] first day

i've just arrived at the academy, and by some miracle i'm not late! i quickly go over to the empty desk in the front of the room, as i know that's where naruto sits, and i sit down, ignoring all the weird looks i'm getting from the people who notice me. soon after i sit down, iruka comes into class and everyone gets quiet.

"alright everyone, we have a new student who will be joining us for the last two days of school." when iruka says that, everyone starts to murmur to themselves, and iruka clears his throat, making them all shut up. "yuki, if you could come up to the front of the room and introduce yourself, that would be great." he continues, and i stand up, walking to the front of the class, and i turn to face everyone.

"hello everyone, my name is yuki saito. i just arrived in this village yesterday, and i know it may seem weird that i'm joining you two days before your graduation, but i promise you that i won't hold you back once you graduate, and i hope that we can all get along." i say, smiling sweetly at them all, then i go back to my seat.

iruka thanks me, ad while i'm walking back, i hear some girls whispering to each other about how cute i am, but that i'm not as cute as sasuke, and i hear the boys complaining about how the fangirls are just going to get more annoying, but how at least i'm not as bad as sasuke. i chuckle a little at their conversations, and class starts.

class seems to go by in a flash, and about twenty minutes in after a couple people, including me, had done a transformation jutsu for iruka, he realizes that naruto isn't here. iruka starts to freak out, and that's when two chunin burst into the classroom, yelling about naruto, and how he'd painted graffiti all over the stone faces.

iruka tells us to behave, then leaves the classroom to go find naruto. the whole class takes this as an opportunity to talk with their friends, and i see some fangirls starting to walk over to me, and i decide to go and introduce myself to someone to make them not bother me. i look around and see, sasuke being flooded with fangirls of his own, nope. sakura and ino in the giant mass of fangirls, big nope. kiba sitting up near the top of the classroom with akamaru, and trying to ignore the giant mess to their left, why not? i mean, kiba's always been one of my favorite characters of the rookie nine, so it makes sense that i should go talk to him.

i gather up the small amount of courage that i have, and walk over to him, brushing past the small mob of girls coming towards me. i accidentally bump one of them and apologize, and i see her almost faint, making me sweat drop. kiba and akamaru's heads go up when they hears me coming, and i smile at them.

"uh, hey." i say, looking at kiba with a slight blush covering my face, "can i sit here for a sec?" i ask, pointing to the spot next to him, "or is it taken?" kiba smiles back at me and moves over in his seat a little bit to give me some more room.

"nope, go ahead." he says, patting the seat. i laugh a little and sit down, then look over at him again.

"so, it's nice to meet you. my name's yuki! what's yours?" i ask him, introducing myself.

"my name's kiba!" he says, smiling wider, "and this is akamaru, my companion! he helps me fight in battle!" akamaru barks and looks over at me, licking my hand when i put it closer to his body to pet him.

"it's really nice to meet you kiba," i say, petting akamaru, "and you too, akamaru!" kiba smiles, and is about to say something else, but is interrupted by iruka re-entering the room with naruto in tow. i smile at kiba and tell him that we can continue to talk later, and go back to my seat.

iruka yells at naruto, then tells him that since he missed class, all of us had to do the transformation jutsu. everyone groans and complains, but we all line up at the front of the classroom and do the jutsu. once i finish, i sit back down at my desk and wait for naruto's turn.

when naruto steps up i pay full attention, and start cracking up when he transforms into the sexy version of himself, making iruka's nose bleed. iruka yells at him again, and he goes to his seat, sitting down next to me. i look over at him and smile.

"hey there, naruto, was it?" i say, and he looks over at me.

"yeah? who are you?" he asks me, giving me a look.

"i'm yuki saito. i'm going to be here for the last two days of your school, and hopefully graduate and become a ninja with you all!" i say, giving him a thumbs up, "it''s super nice to meet you!"

naruto smiles big and says, "it's nice to meet you too yuki, believe it!"

i smile wider, and the rest of the day goes by so fast that i barely even notice it, and it's then end of class before i know it. when iruka says that we can go home now, naruto taps me on the shoulder and asks, "hey yuki, you wanna go hang out together?"

i'm about to say yes, when iruka comes up behind him and says, "oh no, naruto. you aren't doing anything until you clean up all the paint off of the hokage's faces." iruka grabs the back naruto's jumper, and naruto struggles to get free.

"ah, sorry yuki...i guess we'll have to hang out some other time-ow!" naruto says as he's being dragged away, hitting his arm on the door frame when iruka drags him out. i smile to myself and chuckle a little at his silliness, then decide to go straight home to have kakashi help me learn some more taijutsu, and maybe teach me another jutsu! i can't wait to see how this story's gonna turn out!
