The Amnesia Ninja (Naruto Fanfic)

Ch. 2

Kakashi finally showed up about two hours later and explained why he was late. He took out a clock and set it.

"Okay, this is set for twelve o'clock" he explained. Sakura and Naruto watched him curiously while Sasuke let out a bored sigh. I just sat on the rock and stared at him.

"I have three bells" he continued. "You task today is very simple. All you have to do is take them from me." Everyone, with the exception of me, gave him an incredulous look. "For those who don't have a bell by twelve, you will be tied to a tree stump, without getting any lunch, and I will eat mine in front of you" he said with a cheery smile. Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke groan while I smirk. I knew it was a trick.

"You only need to get one bell each" he continued." As you can see, there are only three bells... meaning that at least one of you won't get one. That person will be tied to the stump and will fail the test. Failing this test will result in you being sent back to the Academy."

Sakura gasps, while Naruto's fists clench in determination. Sasuke didn't react at all, choosing to stare at me sullenly instead.

"You may use any weapon that you like for this test," he informed us "As long as you come at me with the intent to kill, because if you don't, you will not pass" he added darkly. Sakura stepped closer to him, eyes filled with worry.

"But, won't you be in danger Kakashi Sensi?" She inquired, concerned. He smiled down at her.

"No Sakura, I'll be fi-"

"Yeah!" Naruto yells, interrupting him. "I mean, when we first met you, you couldn't even dodge a blackboard eraser Kakashi Sensi! We're going to kill you!" I cover my ears hoping that his voice won't penetrate my skull.

"Class clowns are usually the weakest links. You can safely ignore them, because they have th lowest scores. They're losers." Kakashi said seriously, taunting Naruto. "So! Ignores this loser here, and begin when I say-"

Naruto interrupts him by launching himself toward Kakashi, brandishing a weapon that I think is a kunai. Kakashi grabs his wrist and flips around, so that he is holding his hand and kunai to the back of Naruto's head.

"Don't be in such a hurry Naruto." He said, rolling his eyes. "I didn't even say start yet. Although it seems as if you are ready to come at me with the intent too kill. Does that mean that you've acknowledge me?" He smiles at us, his visible eye closed. I wonder why his other eye is covered or why he is wearing a mask. "I'm beginning to like you guys! Alright then! Let's get this really started!"

"Ready? Go!" He exclaims, and I watch everyone but Naruto shoot away, looking for a hiding spot. I stay where I am as well, knowing that this is pointless. Might as well watch the others get defeated. Where's my popcorn!

"You and me Kakashi Sensi, right now, fair and square! Let's go!" Naruto bellows at the Jonin, making him sigh.

"You know, compared to the others," Kakashi states, "you're a little bit weird" Naruto frowns.

"Oh yeah?" He challenges, "The only thing weird around here is your haircut!" Naruto suddenly charges towards Kakshi. I then figured out the point of the exercise.

"Wait Naruto-" I was too late when Kakshi appears behind him.

"Too late! Leaf Village Secret Finger Jutsu!" Kakashi cries. "A Thousand Years of Death!" Naruto shoots away through the trees, screaming.

I sigh irritability. Naruto is such an idiot. I hear a splash, as Naruto lands in a nearby river, while Kakashi pulls out a book.

He opens the book and starts reading until he notices me.
