Alpha star in the west

Prologue

My name is Richards, Paul Richards and i am the current proud owner of the 5 star hotel Alpha star. It has been a long time since i have even wrote in a diary, but even soo i gotta say i kinda missed doing so...

To make everything more clear to you my new white page friend, i shall begin this story from the moment where i decided to take my risks and step into the void of the unknown. The time I met Alpha.

It was when i was still 22 years old and had dropped out of college. Its been seven years since then but back then i was going through some rough patches of my life since my last relative alive and the one who had inspired me to seek a higher education in the pursuit of dreams was suddenly gone by the hands of cancer. All those dreams that he had helped me to create and all those memories he had given me seemed to suddenly be disappearing all of the sudden and so i fell into darkness.

I became a freelance hacker and even got to go to jail for a year for doing so. I would harm anyone or steal for the right amount of money, and let me tell you that even up until the current day there are still sins i have yet to atone for.

One day as i was trying to buy some new parts for a new computer i came across this weird looking military grade computer core. It was bigger than any i had ever seen and the way it worked was by all means a huge mystery for me as it seemed to have components i had never seen in my entire life. 

A mystery....

Not knowing yet, on this day i made the best decision of my entire life for instead of buying more parts for my evil project i decided to just buy the weird looking technological piece and seek the answers now clouding my mind.

After days of hard work i was finally able to figure out how to make it work and even today it still surprises me how advanced she is. Within the slim computer screen a huge amount of data being processed could be seen as the binary lines of code seemed to be taking over my computer. No mater how hard i tried to cancel her hacking of my files at the same time as i tried to shut her down it was just impossible. She was too fast for me...

After a few minutes of futile struggle the core had finally learned what it needed to communicate with me and through the black speakers right by the screen's side a soft female voice could be heard. At first i tried to answer through the computer as i hoped that she could not understand voice commands or speech, but to my surprise as she spoke with me she was already researching ways to make our communication even more easy. After a single hour she was able to speak to me like any other human would without me to even have to type in the keyboard.

With her help i was able to perform my job even with more ease until one day i grew tired of all that danger i was putting me and Alpha in. I was never a person with many friends, but the fact that i met Alpha and lived with her for so long, made me little by little to start enjoying the presence of other people a bit more.

With such new perspective in mind i let those habits in the past and with the money i had accumulated bought a mansion by the sea. It was old and barely usable but with a lot of work on it me and Alpha were able to bring that mansion back to its former glory and even expand it to have more rooms. A pool, a big dinner hall and even a small garden on the back were people could go to take a walk.

However it was rather hard to find people to work for such a project, and considering the amount of money they had already spent to make that place shine once more was a bit different to find competent employees. At that point he had an epiphany.

Alpha had learned a lot more over the years and she was now capable of things he once thought impossible. By replacing several parts of the hotel by technology that could be all controlled by her core he eventually was able to solve the problem with employment because now with this new idea he only needed about 8 people to be able to have the hotel with all the 250 rooms filled with costumers.

With her advanced core she is able to control almost everything in the hotel according to the costumers preference. With all the knowledge she has about human minds she is able to predict when people will get hungry or with thirst. As well as to be able to see if they need help or any sort of other thing.

If the bigger percentage of clients in the pool feel that the water is cold she will raise its temperature. If she feels that a human is starting to get hungry she will dispatch one of the employed people to that person with a customized menu adapted to what that person likes and dislikes. If a person seems lost or just in need of help to decide where to go or just what to do she will send someone to help them with a good advice picked by her as she analysed that person's patterns.

All the machines in this place are controlled by her and that is truly amazing and terrifying. I sometimes imagine what would happen if one day she went rogue, but then i remember her sweet voice and how much she has helped me.

I wonder what tomorrow has in store for me...
