Author POV:
"Hi. Umm it's nice to
meet you, please come in." Simon says. Jordan walks in past Simon and starts feeling a tingle in her stomach, the kind that makes you feel nauseous. She walks in just enough for Simon to close the door. She doesn't want to look like a creep and not say anything so she says, "I'm sorry I showed up at a late hour, I was hoping I'd catch you...Actually to be honest I didn't even think you'd be here and now I've completely lost my train of thought and I'm talking way to much....I'm sorry." Jordan says. Simon smiles and gives her a peculiar look. He already finds this girl really intriguing. He finally says, "Oh no your fine, but I would like to know why your here." Simon says. Jordan saw him smile and took that as a good sign, maybe he's not all that bad. "Right, I've come to talk to you about something that your probably gonna find really strange, but hopefully understand where I'm coming from." Jordan says. Simon thinks to himself, oh bloody hell please don't let this be an obsessive fan who want to live in my pool house or something. "Well please come sit down" Simon says. Jordan walks into the office part of the large room and takes a seat in one of the chairs in front of Simon's desk. To her surprise he actually sits in the chair right beside her, she thought he'd be more of I'm the boss and this is my office so I'll sit behind the desk, but he wasn't and that really made her feel more comfortable. She started to speak, "Okay I really don't know how to put this into words, so I'm just gonna say it. I would really like to learn from you, for you to teach me." Jordan says. Simon is kind of surprised by that and says, "Teach you what exactly?" Jordan says, "How you do things at your record label, how you find stars, I just wanna learn how you do business. I don't want anything at all, I won't even ask questions or even talk if that's what you want I just want to watch you and kinda follow you around and see how you work, you wouldn't even know I'm there." Simon is star struck at this girl. She reminds him so much of himself when he was a teenager and how he was just starting out in the business, he remembers doing exactly what she's asking to Pete Waterman. He thinks to himself she's so straight forward about what she wants and he's always liked that. "Really?" He says. "Yes sir." She says. Simon smiles and says, "Just call me Simon." "Oh...okay Simon." She says. He finally says, "I find you very interesting." She doesn't quite know what to say, so she smirks at him and says, "Thank you." "To be completely honest with you I thought you were gonna be some lunatic coming here at this hour" Simon says. They both laugh and Simon says, "You remind me a lot of me, your very persistent and get straight to the point and I like that a lot." Jordan is kind of shocked at how well this is going right now. He's actually a really nice guy and very understanding. "Ok so here's what I'm thinking, you start meeting me Monday through Friday at about 3:00 pm here, and I'll let you watch me work. And you can even ask questions if you like, but I would really like to get to know you better." Simon says. The whole time Jordan is mind blown! She can't believe the Simon Cowell is telling her to start meeting him. She finally speaks, "Oh my goodness thank you so much Simon, this means so much to me. And I'm actually unemployed right now so you can just tell me when you like to get to know me better." He smiles at how happy and surprised she looks. "Since tomorrow is Sunday, how about you meet me back here tomorrow morning for some tea and we can talk" Simon says. " Of course I'd love that, thank you so much." She says. "Your very welcome Jordan, I'm actually staying the night here so I'll be up early, you just come by whenever your ready. Sound good?" Simon says. "That sounds great!" They both stand up and she decides to just go in for a hug. To his surprise he chuckles a little and hugs her back.
Simon POV:
Jordan hugs me and I put my arms around her and she comes up to about my chin. For some reason when she does I start getting this weird feeling like this was meant to happen. She pulls back and looks at me. We lock eyes for a couple seconds and she says, " I can't tell you how much this means to me, I wasn't expecting you to even let me watch you I was prepared to start bugging you to death." I laugh hard at that, she's got quite a personality, a lot like mine. Very open minded and determined. "Well it's a good thing I said yes then." We both laugh. " I should probably go" she says. I walks her to the door of the office and say, "Do you need me to take you home its very late and you shouldn't be alone this late in Beverly Hills it's not quite the best place at night time, I'd drive you if you want." She looks at me and smiles, "That's very nice of you Simon but I just moved here and my apartment isn't exactly close, so I'll just take a taxi. But thank you very much, I look forward to seeing you tomorrow." We both smile at each other. And I open the door. "Be safe" I say. She thanks me and gets on the elevator. I turn around and go back in my office, I can't believe this is happening. This girl is like a replica of him. I even forgot to even ask her age. She doesn't look very old. And for the first time in a long time I'm actually looking forward to tomorrow.
