The End

A year passed by and I was sitting on the thrown with Caleb by my side. We were happily married but never got the chance to have kids. It was starting to worry me, but right now what was in front of me was worrying me even more. The young woman so beautiful it was mesmerizing was asking to be the castle’s magician.

“We do not need a magician in this castle.” Caleb’s voice was strong and firm, but the woman did not back down. In fact she kept staring at me as if expecting me to say something, then it dawned on me. She’s the witch! But that’s absurd, the witch was old a scary, she was not a young beautiful women. The women’s eyes were hazel, no yellow almost, and I was sure it was her by the way she smiled at me knowing I finally realized who she is.

“Caleb love, maybe we do need her here.” He looked at me but then his eyes softened as I put my hand on his.

“As you wish my queen.” The women before me smiled in satisfaction and bowed down to Caleb.

“As the Castle’s magician we will grant you a home here, but if you try anything that can harm me or my people I will not take a second glace before vanishing you.” The women looked up and nodded.

“Yes my king.” She walked away as the guards were to show her were her room was, I was afraid I might have made a mistake by telling Caleb to let her in but I made a Deal with her a year ago and I never back down from my word.

Through out the days of the witch living her I came to know that her name was Jen. She was a lot nicer than she had been when I went to see her at her cabin in the woods, if I did not know it was her I would have been deceived like everyone else. Things were peaceful in the town and in the castle; I honestly believed that nothing could go wrong.

“ Jade my love the doctor is here to see you, is something wrong?” I shook my head to Caleb, nothing was wrong but I had the doctor check if I was unable to bare children.

“Nothing is wrong dear, just a check up.” I didn’t like lying to him but I had to.  He nodded and went out to practice fencing.

“Yes doctor, I hope you brought good news.” I looked at him hopeful as he sat down drinking the tea served to him.

“Rest assured, you are more then capable of baring children, nothing is wrong with you.” I looked at him confused; if that were true I should have had a child by now.

“Then why haven’t I had any children yet?” He looked up to me and shook his head. I thought he was a doctor! I got up frustrated and told the maids to escort the doctor out as I headed towards the witch’s room. She had to have a solution. I didn’t knock but instead opened the door but it seemed someone was inside already so I stopped.

“I don’t understand why I don’t have any children yet, please help her.” It was Caleb’s voice, I thought I was the only one that was worried about this matter but it seemed the love of my life was worried to.

“She might not be able to bare children my dear king.” She swayed her hips as she kneeled down in front of Caleb and smiling up at him holding his cheek in her palm.

“Why don’t you find someone younger more capable?” She was bringing her face up as I walked in disturbing her.

“Caleb may I talk to you?” I was confident that Caleb was a loyal man, he was brave, honest, and loving, he would never cheat on me. He got up and walked towards me, as we existed the room walking back to ours.

“Jade, I’m sorry I just wanted-“ I cut him off by wrapping my hands around him and kissing him passionately.

“Everything will be okay, we will be okay.” I said lying to myself more then him. He nodded as we spent a lovely night together.

The next day I was getting ready to go down to the next town for a fitting. We were having a huge ball and I wanted to look more then fitting enough for someone as great as Caleb.

“I’ll be back by night fall.” I kissed him goodbye and got into the carriage. The day was going to be long away from my love but I knew the look on his face in the ball was worth it. The arrangements and measurements took all day especially because Bassy’s sister was getting a dress too. The ride home was long and agonizing, I missed my dear Caleb, I didn’t want anything more then to be with him. Getting out of the carriage I went to our room but he wasn’t there so I took the chance to go into the bathroom and take a bath.

“Oh my dear king I’ll do anything for you.” Jen’s voice sounded seductive as I heard something fall into the bed. I got out of the bath wrapping a towel around myself and opening the door just a crack to see.  I held my hand up to my mouth as I saw Caleb kiss down Jen’s neck then exposing her body. I held in the tears that were threatening to spill out but when he kissed her holding her even closer to his body I could not help but cry. She was more beautiful then Diana and me, of course he would want her over someone like me who could not bare him children. I opened the door wide open Caleb looked at me with cold eyes and Jen was smiling at me, she did not struggle to hide her naked body she did not move at all, she stared at me then moved her head kissing Caleb’s neck showing me that he clearly enjoyed it.

“Tell her you do not need her any longer.” She spoke in a whisper but I heard her voice clearly. Caleb looked at me for the longest time then opening his mouth he uttered exactly what she told him to.

“I do not need a woman like you who is incapable of giving me what I need in life to live on.” I held my chest crying and just like what he did to Diana that day she caught him with me he did to me, he called the guards and locked me up.
