Hey, this is Heather and it's my first time writing a book. I actually wrote a whole novel out of this with 150+ pages but looking back, it sucked. I do hope y'all enjoy 11 year-old me's writing or at least have a good laugh at it.
——————————————————————————I silently cheered as the vampire, Count What's-his-name, entered the cinema screen. Lightning flashed outside the dark gothic manor as he lunged, sinking his teeth into the woman's neck.
Actually, I can sympathize with the vampire a lot. Sucking people's blood isn't very attractive, but seriously, he needs that to survive. I'm rather like him too. Smartass and sarcastic, but I can't help it. Life is full or cliquey girls and idiotic jocks, and I often have an urge to express my opinion to them.
My hands found my clear blue moonstone pendant and I held it up to my eye, curious to see what the bloody movie would look like with a pearly blue sheen. The pendant was a present given to me by my father when I was six before he left me, Mom and Tim, my younger brother. I frowned as the woman in the movie started screaming her head off over-dramatically. If there was one thing the movie needed, it was a decent actress. I stood up to leave, much to the annoyance of others inside the cinema.
"Sit back down, won't you?" A cool and alluring voice rang out from behind me.
"I said, sit...back...down." The voice growled again. Scowling, I whipped my head around and was met with the piercing glare of a man no older than twenty-five. With his black T-shirt and windbreaker, the only points of bright colour were his alarmingly white skin and his blue eyes—two brilliant chips of the coldest ice. Recognition flickered in his eyes before disappearing, replaced by confusion. I noticed that the blonde girl sitting beside him had a dark stain on her t-shirt. Stifling a shudder, I shot the guy a penetrating glare before striding out of the cinema.
I wrapped my black jacket around me as the cold October wind lashed out at my face. Shivering, I got into my battered blue mountain bike and took off for home.I had only started in the forest when my bike hit something and collapsed, crushing me under it.
After some inspection, I found out that the front wheel had been punctured by an old nail. Sighing, I took out my phone to call Mom to pick me up but the battery was dead. Could life get any worse?
