She jumped down from the wall, flawlessly landing on her feet. "So where did you three come from? I've been living in this village since it was first formed a few years ago, and I have never seen any of you.". "Well, we have been traveling for a long time looking for a safe haven for us to stay at until this infection is cured, and after that battle, we thought it would be fine for us to stay here for a while." I said in response. "Well just for your information, this place is anything but safe, we are constantly under attack by the infected, and families are forced to stay up for days at a time fearing that their lives will be taken in the middle of the night. However, if that is fine with you, you will have to speak to the ruler of the village, my father, to see if you are allowed to say." After hearing this, I was up for the challenge, but i wasn't so sure about Mike and Scott. "Here follow me!", she said, and then we started walking.

While we were walking, Mike slowly started speeding up his walk, until he was side by side with this mysterious girl, leaving me and Scott slightly behind them. "So, uh, we've been walking for a while, and i was wanting to know your name." Mike said, almost as if he was trying to hit on her or something. She then stopped then turned to him and said, "Well since my dad most likely won't let you stay here, and most of the strangers we meet that do get to stay are dead withing a few days, I prefer not to get to acquainted with newbies, but how about this. You last a week or two, then you come find me and talk to me then" then she started to walk again. Me and Scott walked at our normal pace, and Mike started walking at the same pace as us, kind of disappointed, but he seemed to be up to the challenge she left for him.

As we arrived at the leaders house, we saw it was more of a small mansion, made of stone, compared to the rest of the houses which seemed to be made of wood. As we walked in, we all looked around in amazement at all the fancy furniture that was around the house. We continued walking until we reached what seemed to be like an office. When walked in there was a tall ma facing away from us, looking out a window that looked over a few houses. He was tall, muscular, and had blondish-brown hair. "Da-" The mysterious girl started to say before she was cut off by another girl that we hadn't seen before. " Sir Maxwell!, We have reports of our loses from the last encounter with the infected. It seems that we have about 15 people." After she said this he turned around, and said "Meh, acceptable losses, we are still alive though so it must have been their time to go." I was shocked by his response, 15 people had just died, and he didn't care even a little.

The lady then walked out of the room and the mysterious girl started talking again. "Dad these three strangers we found walking into our village after the fight.. They say they are looking for a place to take shelter for a while, what should we do about them?" He looked at us for what seemed like ages, and when he looked at Mike, he looked shocked, and instantly turned back to his daughter. "Well they seem like a good bunch, why don't you take them to one of the open houses and we can let them stay here for a while, and how about this, you can even watch over them." The girl instantly started to argue back,"please dad, no i don't want to-". "Enough! I have already told you that you will watch over them, and make sure they stay safe, and that's final!". She seemed really disappointed, "Fine, I guess.", then she sighed and told us to follow her.

As we walked towards our house, me ans Scott turned to Mike. " Hey man, what was that about? Why did he act all strange when he saw you?" Scott said. Mike then responded " I don't know, it was weird, but I can't help but think that... there is something awfully familiar about that guy".
