Many of these diary entries write in a gender-neutral form, which I have kept. However, one may assume that they speak of the girls in the Highlight Reels. Some others do speak of a girl specifically, which is why others are indeed referred to as a girl, and/or with a female pronoun. At times, they are also called ‘that kid’, which I have translated quite literally. Of course, they are not really a kid by age, and so could also be thought to be something along the lines of an affectionate ‘that punk’.
