kiran was six years old when her parents got a divorce. her father left for another woman. kira stayed with her mum. a few months later her little sister, ki-jung was born. she felt the need to protect ki-jung, so they grew up very close.
kiran's mother owns a bakery in suwon. she loved to help out as a kid. while being a bit shy at first, kira made friends with frequent customers. this is where kira got a sweet tooth and the skill to bake.
kira was born in suwon, south korea. she then lived in england when she was nine years old till fourteen years old. her family then moved back to south korea again, where kira's mother opened up her bakery. while living in england kiran took the english name, keira.
kpop was a massive passion for kira growing up. big bang and 2ne1 were kira's favourite groups. this being the reason for her to audition for yg. kiran auditioned for yg entertainment in 2011 and got in. there she met all the members of blackpink.
