Opal and Bolins dinner party

One year later
Asamis pov 
I get over to opal and bolins house and knock on the door Jinora answered the door and let me in she is sixteen now I start to mingle and a few hours must have gone bye while I was making my rounds talking to people then then there is a calm slow knock at the door lin answered the door i see a soldier dressed in their uniform the medals neatly laying across their chest so I take off running to the nearest bathroom and lock the the door i sit on the floor and begin crying I knew something was wrong when she didn't return my last letter then I start sobbing then there is a knock on the door  "Asami let me in its pema" pema says i get up and let her in and relock the door i thought I saw Korra's beautiful blue eyes before I shut the door it was probably my imagination i sit on the floor pema joined me "you should not always assume the worst in every situation" she says and smiles I smile back "I know" I say
Korras pov
I get to bolin and opals house I walk up the path leading to it I peak through the window to see Asami talking to tenzin I knock on the door slowly and lin answers it then I see asami take off running she was crying I think she thinks I'm a messenger soldier we all follow her to the bathroom we hear her lock the door after awhile pema knocks and she lets her in she looked in my eyes for a second before closing and locking the door again after awhile things settled down I mingled pema came back out "she left the door unlocked you should go see her" she says so I go knock on the door softly "Asami baby can I come in" I say
Asamis pov
"I'm going to head back out there leave the door unlocked you might be in for a surprise" She says "well you can never be to sure can you" I say she leaves a few minutes later there is a soft knock on the door "Asami baby can I come in" says a voice I haven't heard in a long time a whole year to be exact I stand up go over to the door and I open it up to see her my wonderful girlfriend standing in front of me I hug her and she picks me up and spins me after our hug I give her a kiss "I missed you so much babe" I said "I missed you too sami i just have one question" she says "what is it" I say "will you marry me" she says while getting down on one knee and opening a ring box "yes" I say everyone claps me and Korra head home for the night one we get in the door i lead her upstairs and to our bed and we cuddle for  the rest of the night
