That girl is skinny, but is being called fat.

That boy is over there getting high off crack.

Another sixteen year old is raising a child.

Since when did our society become so wild?

Her shorts are too short.

His mind says abort,

So he ends his own life.

It's crazy what can happen at the end of a knife.

She knows the lyrics too well.

The sound of her music silencing her hell.

He listens to his parents scream,

He's wishing this was all a dream.

She's not pretty, how can she be?

She doesn't fit the standards of our society.

No, she's not a slut, she's actually quite modest.

But she ended her life because she wasn't the "hottest."

These days are messed up, completely untrue.

Why can't you just be you?

Is it because our society tells you how to act?

Please don't tell me you actually believe that crap.

Cause you are amazing, so don't be upset.

And just remember that you haven't met

The perfect you that you will be one day.

You are beautiful, no matter what they say.
