On July 4, Liam Payne answered a question about BTS on a video with iHeartRadio's 'Ask Anything'. With the question _"When you see a group like BTS, does it remind you of your old life?"_, the English singer began thinking about the possibilities of seeing himself in the group. However, he responded that BTS would be a _"really tough group to be on"_, for their _"military thing with dancing"_ and more. _"They can all perform solo great,"_ he said. _"They have so many different styles."_ However, he also hesitantly added, _"And obviously, I don't speak Korean..."_
Although the chances of seeing Liam Payne as BTS were unlikely, as suggested by the singer, he stated that he had wanted to work with BTS in the past. _"I actually really wanted to do something with them earlier on, but someone else kind of beat me to it, so I kind of backed out,"_ he relayed.
