The Next Day...
(Lucy POV)
I woke up to the sound of pots and pans clashing into the ground...peaceful, right?
Well, obviously from the start I realized that Natsu and Happy were probably trying to make themselves breakfast and as usual, they just ended up causing chaos.
I rubbed my eyes and saw that Natsu and Happy were trying their best to quietly pick up the pots and pans.
"Morning, Luce!" I could hear Natsu say from the kitchen, trying to hide the pots and pans on the ground.
"Morning..." Still frightened by the sound of the pots and pans, I did my usual morning routine, and realized that Natsu and Happy were still in my apartment. So, as usual, I shooed them out of my apartment, and headed towards the Guild Hall.
It was another sunny, beautiful day in Magnolia.
I opened the doors of the guild hall and sat down on a bar stool and put my head on the table.
"I'm so tired..." I said, expecting no one to hear.
Mirajane cleaning the insides of a wine glass, smiled at me and said, "Why are you tired on such a beautiful day?"
"Natsu woke me up with his clumsiness." I said.
I looked around the guild hall and saw another fight about to begin between Natsu and Gray.
"Alright Ice Princess, you want to start this?" Natsu said while preparing himself for battle.
"Shut up Flame Brain, you'll lose this battle." Gray said while subconciously stripping.
"Let's rumble!!" Happy said.
"My beloved Gray, you will always be the winner in my heart." Juvia said giving Gray a creepy stare.
"JUST SHUT UP AND START THE BATTLE ALREADY!"
"I WOULD'VE STARTED IT IF YOU JUST SHUT UP!"
"YOU SHUT UP FIRST!"
"YOU'RE THE ONE STILL TALKING!"
"STOP BEING AN IDIOT!"
"Is there a problem?" Erza asked while standing between Natsu and Gray, clearly annoyed by their yelling.
"Oh, no, just two happy friends having a great time!" Gray said while hugging Natsu.
"Ayee!" Natsu said.
I smiled. It really was just another typical day.
On the opposite side of the room, I could see Levy peacefully enjoying a book with Droy and Jet at her side.
Cana, a few barstools away was chugging down a barrel of beer like it was water.
-A few hours later-
I walked out of the guild hall and Natsu followed me.
"Don't forget about the mission!" he reminded me while putting his arm around me.
"Trust me, I won't forget." I said.
I could sense a dark presense behind us. Natsu must've sensed it too because he immidiately turned around. There was nothing there, but I could definitely sense something.
(Narrator)
Natsu could definitely sense something strange, like somebody was watching them.
Natsu turned around and let go of Lucy. That was probably his biggest mistake.
Suddenly, a shadow appeared and grabbed Lucy from behind.
"NATSU!" Lucy screamed.
The dark shadow wrapped it's (what looked like arms) around Lucy's legs and arms along with her neck and pulled her into the darkness.
"LUCY!" Natsu yelled trying to grab hold of her.
He was too late. Lucy had already disappeared into the dark shadow.
