It had been two days since she was out for the last time. She did'nt even get a chance to meet the queen after the breakfast meeting at the green house. As for Don he had been avoiding her, she figured out it was probably because of the kiss they shared. Whatever it be she too was finding it a little awakward to be in the same room as him, lucky for her the vampires did not sit down for dinner like the humans.
She would spend her dinner time in the company of Ahura learning about their ancestory and the feud between the two clans.
The other vampires - the sanguines rarely visited the part of the house she was in but she couldnt care less, on the other hand her parentage was still the biggest question that bothered her. 'Maybe the kid slash man child was right. Maybe she was Elysia's daughter. Which only meant that Dracos was her father and Morell her uncle but then she had to be a vampire like the others.' Thoughts running wild only to make her more confused then ever, maybe she was over thinking. But then what else would she do, she had nothing to pass her time. They had a library but she wasn't the reading kind; she loved observing things rather then burying her nose in some lifeless book.
Ahura often entertained her with stories when she first transformed and how she coped with her new life.
She said she had turned hostile to the people around her after a tragedy and had been sent to the mental asylum multiple times but she would escape each time. No one in her family would take her back until she was found by Dracos who thought she would make a great companion and defendent for his beloved wife. Morell had started to threaten them with his newly built army he wanted to get hold of Elysia as she had been an assistant to Lucian for a long time long enough to know how an army of well bred draculas are raised and how they are tamed.
"I see Elysia around, Morell is probably schemming somewhere. Where is Dracos?" asked Aria finally tilting her head as she munched on the asparagus
"He died Morell bleed him dry its been decades since they invaded the palace and we were forced to come live in human settlements."
"How did Elysia deal with the loss?"
"She did'nt, she was out the next day guiding the chattels ."
"Sounds tough."
"She has to be she is the queen afterall."
"Are there any more women around here besides Elysia and you."
"We have an army or redressers"
"Redresser who are they?"
"Female vampires trained assassins better then the chattels."
Aria had a confused expression on her face as she munched on her salad.
"So why are they not helping?"
"Their leader Jezebel loathes Elysia" she widened her eyes and added "alot."
"Why is that?" Asked Aria and Ahura let out a sigh.
"Love triangles unrequited love you know" said she and smiled.
"My god another story okay let me guess Jezebel loved Dracos but he had heart eyes for Elysia" she looked back at Ahura who gave a positive assent on her madeup story.
"What about Morell is he in love with Elysia?" she smirked.
"Oh lord no he is more of Jezebel kind but they were never together infact I wont be surprised if Morell was gay," as far as Ahura knew she had never heard of him with a girl.
"Or maybe he was too focused on destroying people that he barely got a chance to discover his sexuality," Aria fliched her eyebrows looking unsure of what she said.
Ahura smiled and said "His D and V preferences are not the matter of concern" and suddenly her face turned grim "his attitude and intentions are."
The love triangles and enemities was not something she wanted to discuss for the rest her dinner time "So when can I you know go back to being normal again."
"Darling you should know by now you were not born normal."
"Its funny how I grew up believing that I was an orphan but then a bunch of vampires just came out of nowhere saying Im one of them,"
"Those memories were planted in your brain if you reach out your subconcious you might gain memories of childhood again."
"What are you suggesting?"
"I am saying you were not raised an orphan."
"Ahura, I know Elysia is mother but I'm not sure if Dracos is my father."
"Who cracked the news?"
"The kid I met at a chinese restraunt he was pretty sure that I am Elysias child,"
Ahura got up from her seat on the table and started to gather the bowels and leftovers.
"Oh come on Ahura its not a secret any more"
"I won't deny or ratify any of your theories henceforth," she said while placing dirty dishes in the diswasher.
"Ahura I'm just trying to figure out where I belong. Don't you think I have the right to know where I belong?" Aria was right it was about time to know who she was. She continued "I get it Elysia feels guilty, but she can't keep me in the dark for the rest of my life."
Ahura sighed as she wiped her hands on a kitchen rag. She stood right infront Aria from across the table "The future is uncertain but if you dwell on your past it will only make you miserable,"
"What am I suppose to do sit around and wait for the answers,"
"Sit around and wait for your memories to comeback,"
"This is not fair,"
"I understand your point but that's how life works,"
"I thought we were close enough to talk about anything"
"Everything but this," remarked Ahura.
That was that and then they never discussed it ever again. Ahura would refuse to discuss it whenever Aria tried Eventually Aria realised she was too faithful to her queen and wouldn't betray her.
It was now clear to her that confirming about her parentage was a task she would have to deal with all by herself without any aid.
