" You okay boss?" I looked up at Tony's concerned face. Meeting his chocolate orbs, the frown on his face deep and creased. It made him look a lot older then he was. "Yeah, I'm good. We'll meet back here next week. Same time. Now get to class." They hesitated "Now!" They put a little more omph in their step filling out the dingy lit room one by one throwing worried glances Alexi's way. She ignored them all. Gathered the rest of her belongings and headed to her first period.
Just as she was leaving, having already cut the light and about to shut the door. She saw a shadow slither across the room. She didn't bother to turn in its direction or cut the light back on. She politely kept it moving and made sure the door was locked. Let's be honest she had enough excitement in her life. Whatever it was she wasn't interested and let's be honest...who the fuck goes back and looks in a dark room for shadows?

Disgusted. That's what I am right now looking at the clock on the wall. I've seen the same time on there for the past 30 minuets. It's getting old maybe I should invest in a watch, it's something to think on this one must be broken. Rubbing my hand over my face, taking a peek at the time one more time and I'll be damned if it still didn't say 2:15.
Looking down at the essay on the desk. The paper was almost ready to be printed and turned in. This would be 150 for a B minus the jock buying it didn't care as long as it was a passing grade. Something about playing in the game this weekend. I didn't care as long as daddy paid for it was a win win.
Another glance 2:18 the clock read. Ticking by as slow as the monotoned teacher in the front of the class. I was 100 percent sure she was doing it on purpose. Too bad for her I just couldn't take it any more. "Yes ms.Gentry?" She was polite enough but years of teaching students who would rather buy their next paper then actually listen and learn about it had wore her down. The tight librarian bun she had going was sticking up like she rubbed a balloon across the grey hairs. They stuck up like porcupine pins... ready to explode and prick the skin of unsuspecting passerby's. Her eyes a dim white the shine left her eyes a long time ago leaving her blue eyes looking like a lifeless dolls who sits on a dresser... forgotten and alone. Face empty of a smile or mug. Nothing to special about Mrs.Reed at all just a flat dull face who got paid to babysit a bunch of lazy, entitled kids who mommies and daddy ran the school board because they had a few M's in they bank account. You could almost feel sorry for Mrs.Reed she had the look of someone who finally realized the dream she once had no longer existed.
"May I use a hall pass" she didn't ask why or where I was going. She just wrote out a pass and sent me on my way in that moment I vowed I would not end up like Mrs.Reed who had the dead end job and smelled of cats and decaying dreams. No I think I would prefer to end up the opposite of this women who probably shined bright once upon a time.
I took the hall pass and headed for the parking lot.

It's quite here. Peaceful even. There was even a breeze today, light but some how still gave me goose bumps. The scent of the trees and spring floating through the air as the sun created a heavenly warmth that covered my body like a blanket. The  sound of the small stream was a safe haven for me with the birds above seeing me a lullaby. It calmed me. I could stay in this place forever and not move...yeah I think that's a possibility.

My eyes popped open, it was darker then I remembered it being. Damn. The moon showed bright above. The only beacon of light left in the forest . Looking around I found my phone laying a few steps from where I laid it before falling a sleep ( accidentally of course). Gathering my things I stand stretching my rested bones the wind has picked up and a light mist has fallen over the forest like a security blanket for a child. Wrapping its self around the trees and bushes..hiding the unknown from foreign eyes.
