"jaebum, come open this."

bambam moved out of the way so jaebum could kick open the vent. the man peered out, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. "what is it?", bambam asked, trying to look out too, but jaebum held him back with his uninjured arm.

"this isn't a room."

"what is it?", mark asked desperately. "is it a way out?"

jaebum glanced around outside the vent for a second before stepping out. he held out a hand for bambam and the man grabbed it, letting the older help him out. mark came out last, brushing dust off of his pants.

they were in a dark hall. down both ends were doors and lining one wall was windows, all of which were boarded up tightly so no light could shine through. the only light was coming from under one of the doors.

"which way do we go?", bambam asked, standing next to jaebum. the older shrugged, glancing between the two doors indecisively.

"i vote the one with light", mark replied, already heading toward it. jaebum grabbed his arm roughly to stop him.

"we need to be careful", he whispered, glaring down at the door. he took the lead, slowly creeping toward the door. the other two followed him, taking their steps with caution.

jaebum got to the door and his hand hovered above the door handle. he gulped loudly, and bambam swore he could hear his heart beating.

then, his hand touched the handle, and gently he turned the knob.

"yugyeom?", bambam asked, peering in at the limp body sitting in a chair. he rushed forward, hands flying for the ropes that were tied around his friend. "yugyeom!"

the man started to move, his eyes slowly opening. he was tied to a chair in the middle of the room, a piece of tape covering his mouth. bambam quickly untied the ropes and ripped the tape off of his friend's mouth.

"bambam?", yugyeom asked weakly. he gazed around at the two other boys. jaebum had slowly moved from behind bambam to the table that stood behind yugyeom. bambam looked up and noticed several computer monitors sitting on the table. on the screens was what looked like security footage. there were three empty rooms, and three more rooms with people in them. bambam spotted jackson's body in one of the full rooms, and another limp looking body in the other. in the last, there was only a small ball cuddled in the corner.

jae.

"how did you get out?", yugyeom asked, trying to stand up but falling back down. bambam grabbed his arm and helped him up.

"jaebum managed to get away from the kidnapper, or murderer, or whatever he is, and found me and mark before we got out here."

"do you know this guy?", mark asked, gazing at yugyeom judgingly. bambam nodded.

"he's my friend who put the group chat together...", bambam replied. mark glared at yugyeom harshly.

"so he's the one who caused all of this?"

"i didn't want to", yugyeom whispered, gazing at the ground.

"is that jin?", jaebum asked, pointing to one of the screens. yugyeom nodded weakly.

"he already got to him too." yugyeom was silent for a second. "his name is actually jinyoung."

mark shook his head, rubbing his face. "how do you know all of this?"

"he's had me in here for days. he's been using me to trick you guys. i'm so sorry, i didn't want to but he threatened to kill my family..."

"where is he, right now?", jaebum asked. yugyeom shrugged.

"i don't know."

"damn it. he's probably on his way here right now", jaebum whispered, turning back to the monitors. bambam glanced at yugyeom, eyes racking over his face worriedly. his eyes narrowed as he focused on the man's nose.

"what happened to your nose-"

bambam choked, stumbling back as pain rushed through every part of his body. he collapsed against the wall, gasping for air. jaebum screamed his name, rushing toward him while mark yelped, jumping away from yugyeom. the man stood in his place, gazing at all of them with a maniacal look. his dark hair fell over his eyes, and he grinned, his teeth shining sharply against the dark.

a knife, dripping red with bambam's blood, was gripped in his right hand.
