CH. 2 "Well, this is awkward"

"First of all, my name is not Johnny, Its Kade. Second of all, I wasn't planning to go out with you, I thought it was a pran-"

"Well, we are both stuck on the same boat now. I can't go back to my apartment or Jess will lock me out and I am not willing to sleep in the hallway. So, let's just do something meaningless, say it didn't work then go back to our lives. What do you say Carlos?" I stretched out my hand as a sign to make an agreement, but his stubborn self just narrowed his eyes at me and crossed his arms.

"It's Kade."

"We're past the introductions." I said with my hand still stretched out. "Come on, we can even plot something against Jess." I said with a smirk.

He took his sweet time looking at my hand and acted as if he was thinking about it. At this point, I just want my bed, but if I don't act smart enough I'll sleep out...on the floor...in the cold!

NO! NOT HAPPENING!

"I can't wait forever amigo. So, what's your answer?"

"Fine, but this prank better be worth it and you need to call me Kade."

"Whatever you say Wade." I said teasingly but fully aware that there are limits and I don't want to exceed.

"Close enough." He said with a shrug. "So I guess you're one of those who don't like to be told what to do."

"Well, let's just say that I like to do things my way."

He just looked at me like I'm some kind of spoiled brat, but little did he know that I've never gotten my way in life. There's always something you need to sacrifice in order to get what you really want.

"Well, lets go somewhere where there's light and where we can get what we need." I said having an idea in mind.

"Do you want to go to like Target or Walmart or something." He said catching up that we'll need to buy some things.

"Yeah, lets go to Walmart...have you ever seen parent trap?" I said as we started walking down the street.

"I have, but we can't be that terrible with her. She is my cousin after all."

"A cousin who made you kidnap me!"

"Yeah, but that's because she said that it would be worth it...I should've known she would do something like this."

I stood silent since we both know that Jess is a criminal mastermind so we both should've known that she would go her way to have him kidnap me and then force us to go on a date. That's Jessica, the psycho, for you. When we arrived to the car, he unlocked it and I got in.

"So what scene of parent trap are we doing?" He asked as he got inside his red Ford F-150 Raptor.

"Such a cliché ride for a first date Wade." I said as to ease the tension that was slowing making its way to our conversation. "I was thinking the part that involves a floating mattress on a lake."

"No! We're not doing that. And this is not a date." He practically shouted.

"Okay, then the one where we use whipped cream and maple and water balloons." I said totally calm.

"I think that's too much and besides, your roommates would be affected."

They deserve to be punished too. I bet they're laughing with Jess right now.

"Fine Rico, do you have a better idea?"

"Enough with the names, just call me Kade or Jess' cousin or partner or something."
