The final battle (a miraculous tale)

Disappointment

{This was requested by LadybugLover101, and I would just like to warn everyone that I'm new to writing fan fiction so it might not be that good}

<Marinette's POV>

I sat down in my seat waiting for class to start when I heard a scream from outside followed by cries. I told Alya that I was going to the bathroom and ran out to transform. Once I did I ran outside and saw an Akuma standing high up on top of one of the buildings looking down with pleasure at all of the sad and crying Parisians. His hair and eyes purple and his costume was a darker shade of purple that resembled a tuxedo but with more details.

I shouted up to the Akuma, "Hey, you! What are you doing to all of these people?!" He smiled and jumped down to meet me face to face.

"I am Disappointment and I have always been criticized for my imperfections, so now everyone else will feel the same way I felt all those years!" He reached over to hold my cheek but I moved away. He scowled at me and fiddled with his black bow tie, that's when I decided it was the perfect time to make a move. I grabbed my yo-yo and aimed it at him, he realized what I was doing and quickly dodged the attack and snatched the end of the yo-yo I hurled at him. Before I could react he pulled on his end of my yo-yo and caught me in his arms. I tried to escape but it was no use, he was too strong. Then he reached for my cheek once again but luckily I was saved when a familiar kitty cat swooped in. I was able to release my arm from his grip and Chat Noir swooped above us, grabbed and held on tight to my hand and released me from the Akuma's grip.

"Thanks for the save kitty," I said once we landed on top of one of the buildings and rang his bell.

"It was my pleasure Ma'lady," he smirked as he took a bow.

"If you two are done flirting with each other can we get back to the battle?" The Akuma interrupted as he began to charge at us. I blushed slightly, though I don't know why, and me and chat jumped out of the way. He looked angered before quickly changing his expression to a smirk, he looked over at Chat Noir and began walking calmly towards him. Chat, confused, began stepping back. He reached his hand out to touch him but I quickly came in between them, allowing him to lay his hand on my cheek.

<third person POV>

She felt a wave of guilt and sadness run through her. Everything she had ever done wrong, everything that made her... imperfect, flooded her mind. She looked down at herself to see her Ladybug costume become a dark shade of purple like Disappointment's, but keeping her black spots. She fell to her knees and began sobbing uncontrollably, she started mumbling to herself about how she will never fulfill anything in life. Chat watched her, hot tears falling out his eyes, 'he didn't protect his lady, his love'. But his sadness quickly turned to anger, 'he did this to her, and he must pay' Chat thought to himself as he charged at the Akuma. Disappointment, too distracted by his small victory with Ladybug, didn't see Chat Noir running towards him and was tackled to the floor. Chat was about to strangle him when Ladybug wrapped her yo-yo around his neck. Chat quickly stood back up, arms trying to remove the yo-yo string but failing, and looked behind him to see Ladybug. She was still crying and muttering something under her breath that Chat couldn't make out, Disappointment then stood behind him and dusted himself off.

Chat, on the verge of tears from both physical and emotional pain, looked Ladybug in the eyes and asked, "Why?"

Ladybug continued muttering and Disappointment spoke in her place, "Because she is on my side, because I am the only one who will accept her flaws and imperfections. Because I know what it feels like to be judged and I know what it feels like to never be good enough!" He shouted that last part. "Now, give me your miraculous or I will make her give me her's!" Chat new that he would take her's either way so he refused.

"Fine," he walked over to Ladybug and whispered in her ear. Then with her free hand she took off her earrings and handed them to him. Chat, now free, began running to Ladybug to save her, but Disappointment caught him in his grip.

Chat looked over to Ladybug, "M-Marinette?" His mind began racing, 'she has been by my side the whole time!' And was about to cry tears of joy when he saw her walk over to the edge of the building. "NOOOOO!" Chat shouted as he tried to get out of the Akuma's grip.

"Stop." He directed to Marinette. She complied and awaited further instructions, looking down as she continued crying. "Unless you want her to jump off this building you will do as I say and give me your miraculous!" The Akuma snapped at Chat Noir.

Chat, tears now falling down, took off his ring and whispered "Sorry Plagg." Disappointment, seeing that he took off his ring, loosened his grip. Chat turned to face him and sighed as he handed him his miraculous. Disappointment evilly smiled and took the miraculous from Adrien.

He was about to leave to give the miraculous's to HawkMoth when he stopped to say one last thing, "Ladybug, jump." And with that he left.
