i almost kissed you
we planned
last minute
to see a movie
and boy
was it a night
there were tears
but also laughter
and i remember
the feeling
of my hand
gently holding yours
and then squeezing it
because how
could they write
such a sad scene
five dollars in
pick a theme
actually maybe not
just go with the flow
eyes met
we understood
the pressure of photos
being too much
so instead
you grabbed my hair
and we just laughed
