Alex woke up and looked over to notice their girlfriend, Skyla gone. They got up and stretched and saw rose petals leading out the door. Alex laughed at the idea Skyla trying to be romantic again. They were both so clumsy it never worked out the way they planned but still magical.
Alex followed the petals down stairs. A note placed neatly on the bottom step in plain sight. Alex picked it up and opened it and read it under her breath.
"Roses are red, Violets are blue, I don't think you understand, How much I love you <3"
Alex smiled and followed the petals, note in hand. They made it to the kitchen and they saw Skyla setting up since streamers of Alex's favorite color, Royal Blue, and a banner that read "Happy Anniversary Babe!"
"Skyla you did this for me?" Alex smiled and walked up to her girlfriend stuggling to tape up the streamers.
"You are up already? Damn it I wanted you to not see me I have gonna make those coffee latte thingys with the hearts in the creme an-"
Alex cut her off by kissing her. "Skyla you don't have to do all this for me. Having you is enough." Skyla smiled
"I love you babe."
"Love you too."
Alex and Skyla spent the rest of the evening trying to figure out how to make the lattes and shape the creme into them.
