"Why am I not surprised to see you here?" Princess asked jokingly, chuckling lightly as she sat on a bench around one of the lonely parts of the castle - somewhere around the abandoned barracks' yard.

A man replied with an ostentatious bow. "Ah, it wouldn't be appropriate if I had just left you alone, your majesty." the man beams up at her. "And I believe I was due a promise to spend some time with someone here." He stands upright and raises one eyebrow.

"That's true. You did owe me about an hour." The Princess smiles at him before pulling him into a friendly hug, latching her hand on his back as he returns the grasp. "It's very nice to see you again after so long, Lex."

He pulls away and keeps his smile firm. "Me too, Lynn. Who could possibly want to reject a meeting with the Princess of Serria?" He chuckles before sitting beside her, his chin resting at his hand as his head twirled over to stare at her face.

"Anything interesting happened inside the castle walls, your majesty?" he asked, putting a sarcastic emphasis on the last part.

"You know I can't share that kind of stuff with you, peasant." the Princess smirks and intentionally deepens her voice to attempt to show dominance...which isn't really her forte.

"Oh, no! My thousands of pardons to you, mistress! Please forgive me for being a terrible person of your Kingdom!" Lex shivered - sarcastically, obviously - and trembled at her voice, widening his eyes in fear - sarcastically again, obviously - as the Princess chuckled at the sight. "Just stop. Being a 'mighty ruler' isn't really your type."

Curious, the Princess asks. "And what kind of a ruler is my type, hmm?"

"Oh," he clasps his hand. "Where do I begin... soft voice, soft hands, soft face, and probably an even softer combat skills." He smirks after finishing that sentence. "Softer than me, at least."

The Princess stands up and smirks back. "How dare you disrespect the Princess of Serria! You must be punished for your crimes!" She wanders her eyes around for a while, eventually picking up two sticks long enough to be used as swords, tossing one to Lex's hands.

"I demand a trial by combat."

"Is that so?" Lex raises his stick-sword and hoists it up his head. "I am trained in the ways of swordmanship by a thousand warriors!"

"Mere words." The Princess says before lunging at him, attempting to slash at his chest.

Lex easily dodges around and parries, letting the clang (or.. thud) of the swords clashing echo over the surrounding walls. He grins sheepishly, almost as if he was already expecting Ethelyn to strike a quick slash at his torso. "Still as predictable as always. Your arm is getting flabbier each time I made you that cream cake."

"So that's your tactic?" She takes a step back and chuckles, her sword still firmly gripped at her hand. "Destroying your enemy before a battle, hm?" She strafes around to look for an opening...

"Princess... It's just cunning maneuvers." he lowers his sword for a brief moment as he strafes in front of the Princess, mirroring her movement. Same as the Princess, he also looks for an opening...

"You,"

"Will,"

"LOSE!"

Both stick fighters lunge at each other and let their swords clash one more time, pushing each other as strong as they can to gain leverage.

Soon, they both step back and launch an incredibly quick sword slashes - almost as good like a trained soldier fighting each other - and parried masterfully, not letting a single blow land at their bodies.
