Hui and Hyojong sat at the table. The vibe around them now felt off, Hyojong was only focused on everything that had just happened. A waiter came and asked for their orders. They ordered a pepperoni pizza and two sodas. Hyojong asked "So.. Do you come here often?"
"No, actually I complain about this place a lot so Pentagon won't come here. Its a place I can just calm down from everyone."
"That's interesting.. You don't really seem to like them."
"I do. They can get irritating sometimes, though."
Hyojong nodded and stayed silent for a while. It wasn't much of a comfortable silence. Hyojong felt like he should say something but no words left his mouth. It was awkward until the waiter came with their sodas. Hyojong took a sip and looked at Hui "I'm still in shock.."
Hui looked back at him, admiration tinting his eyes "From what?"
"That my biggest bully is actually taking me on a date.. Its kinda weird.."
Hui shrugged "No, not really."
Hyojong looked around the pizza shop, feeling small and awkward "I didn't.. Mean to be the reason of all this drama with Pentagon.."
Hui looked straight in Hyojong's eyes "I already told you. Ive been wanting to kick Jinho out for ages"
Hui held Hyojong's hand across the table and smiled gingerly at the now blushing boy "And I couldn't be any happier than I am now."
Hyojong looked up at him shyly "Its hard to believe you... All you've ever wanted was for me to suffer. And now it seems like your dating me because of what Dawn said."
"I fell in love with you because I got to know you, like Dawn asked me to."
"Is it even possible to hate someone for multiple years and somehow fall in love with them?"
"Apparently it is."
The waiter came with their pizza and they started to eat. No words escaped neither of their mouths. They didn't even look at each other, they just ate. Once they finished Hui paid and looked at Hyojong "Lets go."They walked out of the pizza shop and into the cold city venue. Hui held Hyojong's hand and walked with him down the busy city streets. They didn't know where they were going they just walked.
Countless other bodies walked past them and the cold nights breeze made them each shiver. If either of them were alone, this would be more of an unsettling feeling. But since they walked, hand in hand it felt warm. It felt sweet. For the first time in ages, Hyojong felt important.
They felt people give them judgmental stares. It made Hyojong feel self conscious. Yet it made Hui stand up and feel more proud. Hyojong glanced up at Hui and spoke "They.."
"Let them stare."
Hui stopped and faced towards Hyojong, even when people behind them grunt, flip them off, or shout out a "Fuck you, I'm trying to get somewhere." they still stood there. Hui held both of Hyojong's hands making Hyojong's heart beat increase and making a wild blush cross his cheeks and his ears. Hyojong tried to look away but Hui's gaze continued to stare at him and he couldn't help but draw his eyes to meet the other males. Hui sent him a warm, calming smile and voiced, making a shiver go down Hyojong's spine "I want them to know that you're mine and only mine."
"B-but.. Im so ugly.."
"No you're not-"
Hyojong shook his head wildly and snarled "Yes I am! You've said it before! You've pushed me up against a wall and slammed your fist in my face repeatedly, calling me an ugly little bitch and now you're trying to act all sweet.."
His voice wavered and tears pricked his eyes but he forced them not to overflow down his cheeks. He didn't want to look weak, not in front of Hui "You're trying to tell me that you "changed" because Dawn died. How am I supposed to believe you? For three or four years straight I've been afraid of you. How am I supposed to love you?! I've only known you as a crazy, monster!"
A deep frown started to form on Hui's face and he sighed "Hyojong.."
Hyojong's lips trembled and he looked at the floor, dismissively. Hui tugged his hair behind his ear and lifted his head so he'd look in his eyes "I know you may not believe me, but before I was going through some things emotionally. Pentagon was originally just a group for friends.. Once I went through a depression I wanted to put all my anger out on something. Then I saw you... Back then all I saw was that you're weak, lonely, and looked like you were pretty much dead anyway. So me and Pentagon decided to beat you up. At first it was fun. It felt like we were strong and powerful and seeing you cry or hearing you whimper made us feel superior"
"How the fuck is this supposed to make me fall for you?"
Hyojong started to look more mad then he did sad. But he still didn't run away or avoid eye contact. He still stood there, holding onto Hui's hand and looking up in his eyes, desperately trying to find his answer. "Then I met Dawn. I originally met her at a summer camp. With each of those days I slowly fell in love with her. She was different from the other girls. Really cute.. After summercamp I'd hang out with her after school and after some time I'd talk about my problems and about my feelings. She'd always say this one thing, don't hurt him. Violence isn't the way to solve your problems. I never listened to that advice.. Because I didn't want Pentagon to be upset and I didn't like change. But once Dawn died.. I decided to talk things out with you.. That's when I saw a completely different side of you. I recognized how cute you were. I fell in love with your shy personality and actually felt myself wanting to be close to you and wanting to call you my boyfriend. And even if you still don't believe me, I want you to know that yes, I did fall for you."
He didn't have to say anything, when Hyojong engulfed him in a hug. He hugged him tightly their warmth imgulfing both of them. It felt like it was meant to be that way. Hyojong's voice came out as a sweet, whisper "Thank you.. Hui.."He nuzzled his nose in the side of Hui's neck and took in the calming scent of his cologne. It was sweet, warm, and it felt like everything around them had stopped. It felt like it was just them, in a city full of people.
They wanted to stay there forever but there had to be a time where the hug would break. Hui was the one to pull away from the hug and he gazed in Hyojong's eyes.
The moon shone down on the boy like a spotlight. His pale skin seemed to glow, his chocolate brown eyes full of stars, his cute pink lips pulled in a frown which he wished he could tug upside down. Every little detail of his face was stunning, like a painting. If only he could paint over the bruises and the scars he had caused. If only he could go back in time and remove the scars he caused on his body and in his heart. The best he could do was try to patch up the permanent wounds he caused. It may take time, but that's all Hui wants. He wants his Hyojong to look up at him the way he is now, but instead of a frown he wanted it to be a big smile that shines like the sun.
Hui grasped his hand and smiled at him "Now let's get going."
Hui walked Hyojong down his vacant street that led towards his small, compact house. Hui asked "Do any cars drive down this street?"
"Not at this hour, no."
Hui stood in front of Hyojong and held their hands up, his other hand resting on the smaller boy's waist "What are you..."
Hui placed Hyojong's hand on his shoulder then rested his hand back on his waist "You'll see."He started to slowly dance with the boy, keeping eye contact as if he was looking at the most beautiful thing ever to exist. The stars shone in the purple sky, the trees now black because of how dark it was outside.
Hyojong tripped over Hui's feet and blushed a huge blush "S-sorry.. Hui.."
Hui cupped his cheek in his hand and smiled at him before a giggle escaped his cheeks which eventually transformed into a big belly laugh. His laugh was so contagious it made Hyojong laugh too. Hui held Hyojong in his arms, protectively and rocked them back and forth. Hyojong held back, his fingers dug in Hui's tux jacket and his face stuffed in Hui's shoulder, giggles escaping his lips. Once their laughs stopped, Hui looked at Hyojong, his eyes only filled with him, like he was the only person in the world.Hui glanced at Hyojong's lips and asked "Can I.. Kiss you?"
Hyojong bit his lip for a split second and nodded, shyly. Hui gently cupped Hyojong's cheek in his hand and leaned in, his eyes closing and pecked Hyojong's lips, sweetly. Even if it was for a second, it was the best thing Hyojong had experienced.Hui kissed his nose and whispered, gently "Lets get you home."
"Thank you.. For this date.. I really liked it.."
"So since we've finally been on a date, I can now call you my boyfriend."
Hyojong grinned a smile that indeed shone like the sun and nodded. And there they were, walking hand in hand to Hyojong's house. Their problems being completely eliminated for just one day.A.N: Im sorry for being so inactive with this story, I've had serious writers block because I wanted to make this a really good date.
