I scrunched my nose focusing on the target, I felt free when it's just me doing target practice. I took a deep breath letting go of the arrow it flew out of my hands, hitting the bullseye perfectly.

and then there it was, the angry familiar voice that Interrupted me .

"KYREA!" I flinched lowering my bow
letting out a groan.
My father marched towards me.
"Yes father?" I turned to him
"The royal court is here and you must be there"he looked mad
"Yes father."I gave my gear to my servant walking off tiredly I don't like my duties as heir,it's tiring but I'm destined to take the kingdom.

I walked in through the doors of the throne room i curtsied to the court and sat next to my father.

"Now that everyone is present shall we begin"my father spoke. He always seemed so brave and wise beyond his years. The room nodded. Father cleared his throat.

"Now you all must know of the recent attacks on the kingdoms townsfolk..we have to ask a very old and powerful kingdom for help."

"What kingdom can help us from the griffins attacking ours?"Dean, my best friend and heir to his throne as well spoke up.

"Avalon."my father went serious whilst the room abruptly with laughter

"Like as in the kingdom in the fairytales mother would tell me?" My little brother John piped up,i shushed him

"Yes John like the ones mother told us."

king draeus laughed with the rest of the lot
"Now now xephilias everyone here all knows that Avalon is just a fairytale we told our children."he chuckled
the doors flew open
"Avalon is very much real draeus."my grandmother leaned on her walking stick.
"Madeleine..how nice of you to bless us with your presence."he growled quietly
She chuckled.
"Xephilias, the only person that can go is..kyrea."
I came out of the space I was in
"Father, she can't be serious."
"I'm very serious kyrea."Her face was stoic
"Kyrea I hate to agree with your grandmother-"
"Oh that's just rich,"
" Kyrea Maryanne Wendigo,it is your fate to do this your mother would encourage this,in fact she's the reason you're going." Grandmother scowled

The royal court nodded and agreed.
"Xephilias I'm sending my son with your daughter,I think they make a great pair anyways."draeus chuckled all jolly like shooing us away,we've been chosen to marry each other if we don't find someone to marry in 2 years.

Dean looked at me worried and I looked back equally worried about this trip.

i kept on pacing my chambers packing in between thoughts. when there was a knock on my door.

"Come in"I said looking out the window.
"Hello Kyrea"I snapped my head around,this was not dean it was another noble mans son Michael Hoffer.

"Michael, what are you doing here I thought you couldn't make it to council"I walked towards him.

"I couldn't but something just couldn't keep me away from seeing you."he smirked and caressed my cheek while I looked at him studying his bright green eyes.

"Michael,if dean finds out you're here he'll kill you for sure."I had no emotional or sexual attachment to Michael ,partly because dean is not only my best friend but probably my future husband.

he stepped away from me finding a way to lock the door,he found rope.
"Then what im about to do will be worth it."he snickers.
then things went black.

when I woke up I was tied up,naked,I felt so exposed.i looked around and I saw Michael undressed ready to take my precious flower and crush it.

"m-michael n-no."I tried to twist out of the ropes but only hurting my wrists in the process. he layed down on top of my a tear shed from my eye. I was defenseless,and dean was no where to be found.

I begged him not to. he stopped sat up and looked like he was going to listen I let out a sigh of relief . But then I was wrong. he looked angry.i panicked.

"DEAN!"I screamed as Michael slammed into me I kept screaming for help and for dean.

"He won't come Kyrea."he was thrusting in and out of me. Tears streamed down my face ,I throat burned.

"Y-yes he will" I defended dean. Dean promised to always come in my most dire hour of need.

he slammed into me harder and faster I screamed not from pleasure but from fear. I screamed for dean again and this time the door was trying to be opened.

"Kyrea!" Deans voice shouted banging on the door trying to open it.

I cried and yelled at Michael to stop it.
but he didn't he simply ignored me and kept going.
The door finally opened.im Michael was off of me trying to defend himself.

"Michael,what did you do."dean ran to me as the knights out Michael In shackles.

"I crushed the flower that was meant for you to take."he spat on dean.

Dean told the soldiers to take him to the dungeon,while he cut the ropes and gave me his shirt to wear.

He hugged me and wouldn't let go rocking me back and forth.
I cried into his chest.

I was slightly asleep when dean tucked me in and when he turned to walk away when I grabbed his hand .

"Please stay with me for the night."and he did .he slept next to me.

Okay so like that was ALOT but like it's part of the storyline,basically to give you guys a peek Kyrea is trying to find help for the kingdom and is battling the memory of what happened. But deans there to help her,as for the other characters , you'll see them in chapter 3 or 4 when they start the journey.
