hello, humans, i have a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig announcement! you probably already knew that if you read the title . . . but . . . whatever.
so anyways, i'm opening a poetry book! over the past year i've begun song writing, and while i don't have any music published yet, i can share the poetry itself. after all, songs are just poetry put to music, are they not?
anyways, i'll be opening the book on my other account cold_fries and i'll provide a link in the comments to the book, but first, a teaser:
Glass Statues, by Esther Graham (me)
I break everything I touch
I don't ask for much
Just thoughts such
That they won't kill me
That someone will see me
As I am
A glass statue
On the floor
Broken through and through
But I keep slamming the door
What am I here for?
Just to die?
"Why, God, oh why?" I cry
Tears of blood
I can't stop this flood
I'm a broken glass statue
Don't touch me, lest I cut you
Can anyone save me, take me home?
Or am I permanently alone?
