Note:I have no idea what I'm doing, but I hope you enjoy my weird (mostly one chapter) stories.
It's a nice warm summers evening. You're out in the garden tending to your newly planted flowers. The back door gently swings open. You look up.
"Hello Connor," you say in a cheerful tone.
The Android smiles back at you before coming down the steps and over to you. You promised Hank you'd look after Connor while he was away at work. After Connor had become a deviant, he was vulnerable to Cyberlife hack attempts and Hank decided it would be better off if Connor stayed at home. Hank was worried that if Cyberlife took Connor back, he'd never see him again.
Connor was left in your care and you'd grown a strong bond with him.Connor looks over at the freshly planted flowers, he was definitely more human than a machine and even some humans.
"Here, let me assist you, " Connor says as he picks up a small spade and starts digging a hole for another plant. You kneel down next to him and also start digging a small hole.
The last two flowers to plant were small blue orchids. You had decided to decorate Hank's garden while he was at work just a nice surprise for when he returned. Connor liked the idea of it and had agreed to help. Most of your day was spent out in the garden but it didn't bother you. Although you were tired, your determination kept you going.
The plants had been planted. Connor stood up to admire the work, a smile planted across his face. He seemed pleased.
" I'm sure Lieutenant Anderson will appreciate what we've done for him. You've been working out here all day, are you tired? " Connor questioned.
You shake your head in return and stand up, a soft crunch underneath your foot. You and Connor both look down to realise you had stood on one of the plants. You look at Connor to see him looking back at you.
"Ah. I'm sorry I didn't see that there. I'm so sorry," you repeatedly apologize to the Android.
He kneels down and picks up the now squashed flower and holds it gently in the palm of his hand. He stares at it and traces the pattern of the underside of your shoe which was imprinted on the flower. He was one who clearly cared about all forms of life, unless they had done unforgivable things.
"It's- it's fine, "
He didn't seem to pleased with your actions and that made you feel awful. You hated making Connor feel upset or emotions like that. Connor gently places the flower back on the floor and looks you in the eyes. You stare back at him, unaware of the shovel in his hand.
Whack!
Connor had hit you in the head with the shovel. You had angered him. He was a machine, but not at the same time. He was unpredictable. You looked up at him from the floor you now lay upon. He was ready to strike again and before you could move, he hit you again. You role out the way and jump to your feet, praying Hank comes back soon. Connor had taken violent turns before, was it an error in his software? Times like this make you see him as a machine and not a human.
You hear Hank's car pulling into the driveway and immediately dash for it, Connor staying where he is. Hank looks at you and rolls down the window.
"Jesus, what the fuck happened to you?! " Hank exclaimed in a worried tone.
You feel something trickling down the side of your face. Blood?
You and Hank both look over at Connor who's staring at the now blood covered shovel.
