Agent 8 POV
I got off the metro after discovering the first of the "thangs". Honestly, I don't understand what the need is to collect them. I decided to take a good look around the station before getting back on the metro. When I was sitting on a bench by the wall on the other side of the metro, I saw strange blue flecks of light that were swirling around. Then, they formed into a blue ball of light. I don't know how or why, but it seemed to be saying, Bridgette....
Apparently my name is Bridgette now. Good to know.
Anyway, I get up, and head towards the ball. It flies away from me, taking me through a secret maze. It dissolved. I gasped, because I saw a disc of light that showed a whole new world. It was so beautiful. The sky was blue, and there were trees everywhere. I reached my hand out, and asked myself, "Is this...the promised land?" My hand began to pass through the disc of light. I gasped, and pulled it back. I looked from my hand, to the disc, and back to my hand. Then, I heard the voice again. Bridgette...It's okay, Bridgette...go through...go through...better life...better life...
I began to get excited. I stuck my hand through again, then jumped in. I felt the sensation of getting dumped in ice-cold water, then I fell through. The sun gently glowed, and I felt myself tanning. I stood up, and began to walk around. Suddenly, I saw a strange looking octoling. Her tentacles where all black, and I couldn't see them. It was all at once that I realized: she isn't an octoling, she is a human! I hesitantly walked up to her. She turned around, one of her front teeth missing. She had on a white shirt with red sleeves on, and overalls over her shirt. She smiled happily at me. "Hi! My name is Jesse! What's your name?" I smiled lightly at her. "I'm Bridgette. Nice to meet you." She gently held onto my hand, and shook it. "Wanna be friends?" she asked me. I smiled at her. "Of course! Hey, wanna see something cool I can do?" Jesse excitedly nodded her head. "Yeah!" I turned into an octo, then turned back. She was grinning so brightly. "That was so COOL! You gotta show my brother, Jesse. We call him Jay." She grabbed me by the hand, and rushed towards her house. On the front porch, there was a boy sitting on a chair, reading a book. "Hey, Jay!" Jesse called out to him. He looked up at her, and smiled. "Oh, hey, Jesse. Made a new friend?" Jesse excitedly nodded. "Her name is Bridgette, and she can do something really cool! Show him, Bridgette!" I smiled, and turned into an octo again. After I turned back, Jay was looking at me, and smiling excitedly. "That really was cool, Bridgette! Wanna hang out with us for a while?" I nodded. "Sure!" Jesse and Jay led me into the house.
